The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Venues have been officially confirmed, with seven famous stadiums across England set to host the biggest edition of the tournament. The competition will run from June 12 to July 5, 2026, featuring 12 teams and 33 matches.

The selected venues combine history, modern facilities, passionate cricket fans, and excellent locations. Here is a guide to the venues of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and what makes each stadium special.

    Lord’s, London

Lord’s is known around the world as the Home of Cricket. It will host the final on July 5, making it the most important venue of the tournament.

The stadium was also the site of the memorable 2017 Women’s World Cup final, where England defeated India in front of a packed crowd. Hosting the final once again connects the tournament with one of the biggest moments in women’s cricket history.

    The Oval, London

The Oval will host both semi-finals of the competition. Located in the heart of London, it is one of England’s largest cricket grounds and offers excellent transport connections.

The stadium was chosen because it can handle large crowds and provide a great atmosphere for the crucial knockout matches.

    Edgbaston, Birmingham

Edgbaston will host the opening match between England and Sri Lanka. It will also stage the highly anticipated India versus Pakistan clash.

Known for its lively crowd and strong T20 tradition, Edgbaston is one of England’s most popular cricket venues. It also holds a special place in history as the host of the first Women’s World Cup match in 1973.

    Old Trafford, Manchester

Old Trafford is the leading cricket venue in North West England. It will host several major group stage matches, including Australia versus South Africa and India versus South Africa.

Manchester has a large South Asian community, making it an ideal location for matches expected to attract strong support and big crowds.

    Headingley, Leeds

Headingley will bring World Cup cricket to Yorkshire. The ground is famous for its passionate cricket supporters and exciting atmosphere.

Key matches include England versus Scotland and Australia versus Bangladesh. The venue is expected to attract strong weekend crowds from across the region.

    Hampshire Bowl, Southampton

Hampshire Bowl is one of the most modern cricket venues in England. It offers excellent facilities for players, officials, and broadcasters.

The ground is also known for its reliable playing conditions and advanced infrastructure. Several of New Zealand’s group stage matches will be played here.

    Bristol County Ground, Bristol

Bristol County Ground has a rich connection with women’s cricket. Over the years, it has hosted many important domestic and international matches.

The venue will stage matches involving the West Indies, Sri Lanka, and Ireland, giving fans in the south west of England the chance to experience World Cup cricket.

Why Were These Iconic Seven Host Stadiums Chosen for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026?

Many fans have asked, “Why were these iconic seven host stadiums chosen for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026?”

The answer lies in a combination of history, accessibility, atmosphere, and facilities. The ECB wanted venues that could create memorable experiences for players and fans while also supporting global television coverage.

Another key goal was to spread the tournament across different regions of England. By using venues in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Southampton, and Bristol, the tournament can reach more supporters and help grow the women’s game across the country.

The seven venues together provide the perfect stage for what promises to be the biggest and most exciting Women’s T20 World Cup in history.
