Australian cricketers Megan Banting and Nicole Bolton have tied the knot, sharing glimpses of their wedding celebrations through a social media post.
The couple posted a video on Instagram capturing moments from the ceremony, including time spent with family and friends along with candid highlights from the day. The visuals reflected a personal and understated celebration, with the event appearing to be an intimate gathering attended by close ones.
Cricket Careers in Focus
Both Banting and Bolton have been involved in Australian women’s cricket, albeit through different paths.
Bolton, a former international cricketer, represented Australia as a left-handed opener and was part of the 2017 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup squad. Over her ODI career, she scored 1,896 runs in 50 matches at an average of 41.21, including four centuries and 12 half-centuries.
She made an immediate impact on debut in 2014 at the MCG, scoring a century and becoming the first Australian woman to register an ODI hundred on debut. Known for her ability to anchor innings, Bolton was a consistent presence at the top of the order during her time with the national side.
Continued Involvement in the Game
After stepping away from international cricket in 2022, Bolton has remained involved in the sport through coaching. She was part of the Mumbai Indians setup as a fielding coach in the Women’s Premier League.
Banting, meanwhile, has built her career in the domestic circuit as a wicketkeeper-batter. She has represented Perth Scorchers in the Women’s Big Bash League, contributing both behind the stumps and with the bat across multiple seasons.
A Personal Milestone
The couple’s wedding marks a new chapter after being together for some time. Rather than a large public celebration, they opted for a more private occasion, with the shared video offering a brief look into the day without extensive detail.
Following the announcement, messages of congratulations poured in from fans, friends and members of the cricketing community, marking the occasion as a significant personal milestone for both players.
