London Spirit Women registered their first win of The Hundred Women’s 2026 season after defeating Trent Rockets Women by five wickets in a thrilling contest at Trent Bridge. Chasing a competitive target of 143, London Spirit held their nerve to reach 143/5 in 97 balls, sealing victory with just three balls to spare.

The match had plenty of twists, including an early batting collapse for the visitors and a brilliant late finish from Nadine de Klerk. Here is the complete Trent Rockets Women vs London Spirit Women review.

Trent Rockets Women Post a Competitive Total

Batting first, Trent Rockets Women finished on 142/6 from their 100 balls. Their innings did not get off to the ideal start as London Spirit’s experienced all-rounder Marizanne Kapp struck early by dismissing star opener Beth Mooney during the powerplay.

Following the early setback, Sophia Dunkley and Sophie Luff rebuilt the innings with a valuable 33-run partnership. Dunkley contributed 23 runs, while Luff added 24, helping the Rockets recover after losing an early wicket.

The momentum shifted again in the closing stages thanks to captain Ashleigh Gardner, who played an aggressive knock of 34 from just 22 balls. She found regular boundaries to lift the scoring rate before Bess Heath provided the finishing touch with an unbeaten 32 off 20 balls. Their efforts helped Trent Rockets set London Spirit a challenging target of 143.

London Spirit Hold Their Nerve in the Chase

The chase began perfectly for London Spirit as openers Grace Harris and Amy Jones attacked from the outset. The pair shared an impressive 55 run opening partnership, putting the visitors firmly in control of the contest.

However, Trent Rockets fought back brilliantly. Their bowlers claimed four quick wickets, reducing London Spirit from 55 without loss to 67 for 4. Suddenly, the match swung back in favour of the home side as pressure mounted on the middle order.

Despite the collapse, London Spirit stayed composed. Nadine de Klerk played a calm and confident innings under pressure, guiding her side towards the target. With only a few runs needed, she finished the contest in style by smashing a six, securing victory with three balls remaining.

    Top Performers from the Match

The Trent Rockets Women vs London Spirit Women highlights feature several standout individual performances.

Marizanne Kapp starred with the ball, producing outstanding figures of 3 wickets for 12 runs from 20 balls. Her early breakthroughs prevented Trent Rockets from building a bigger total.

Spinner Charlie Dean also impressed for London Spirit by taking 2 wickets for 18 runs, keeping the scoring under control during the middle phase.

For Trent Rockets, captain Ashleigh Gardner’s attacking 34 and Bess Heath’s unbeaten 32 ensured the team remained competitive despite losing wickets at regular intervals.

Nadine de Klerk, meanwhile, earned plenty of praise for holding her nerve during the chase and delivering the winning shot.

    The Hundred Women’s Match Report

So, The Hundred Women’s match report on London Spirit Women win showcased why the competition continues to entertain cricket fans with close finishes and momentum swings. London Spirit Women celebrated their first victory of the season after overcoming a dramatic middle order collapse, while Trent Rockets Women were left to reflect on missed opportunities despite posting a competitive score.

With confidence now on their side, London Spirit will look to build momentum in the coming matches, while Trent Rockets will aim to bounce back quickly as the race for the knockout stages gathers pace.
