Pakistan Women finished their ODI series against Zimbabwe Women in commanding fashion, sealing a nine-wicket victory in the third and final match at the National Stadium in Karachi to complete a 3-0 sweep.
The result lifted Pakistan to second place in the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29 standings, with eight points from six matches. Their series dominance also included a record 206-run win in the second ODI, Pakistan’s biggest-ever victory margin in the format.
Zimbabwe Post 222 After Biza and Ndhlovu Fifties
Asked to bat first by stand-in captain Muneeba Ali, Zimbabwe reached 222 for 9 in their 50 overs. Beloved Biza top-scored with 73 off 88 balls, while Kelis Ndhlovu contributed 51 from 72 deliveries.
Despite those efforts, Zimbabwe were unable to build a total that could seriously trouble Pakistan. Tasmia Rubab led the attack with three wickets, while Ayesha Zafar delivered a highly economical spell, taking two wickets and conceding just 13 runs in six overs.
Feroza and Shamas Extend Stunning Run
Pakistan’s chase was dominated by openers Gull Feroza and Sadaf Shamas, who once again dismantled Zimbabwe’s bowling attack. The pair added 220 for the first wicket, Pakistan’s second-highest partnership for any wicket in women’s ODIs.
It was also their third consecutive 150-plus stand of the series. Across the three matches, they combined for 571 runs, the highest aggregate by an opening pair in a bilateral women’s ODI series.
Feroza Breaks Her Own Record
Feroza continued her exceptional form by scoring another century, becoming only the second Pakistan woman batter to register back-to-back ODI hundreds.
She reached three figures in just 83 balls, breaking her own record for the fastest ODI century by a Pakistan women’s batter, which she had set three days earlier. Feroza finished unbeaten on 106 and ended the series with 256 runs at an average of 128.
Shamas narrowly missed out on a second straight century, falling for 90 in the 32nd over.
Pakistan Seal Chase at Record Rate
Pakistan completed the chase in 31.5 overs, reaching 225 for 1 at a run rate of 7.07. That became the highest scoring rate by any team in a successful chase of a 200-plus target in women’s cricket.
Brief scores: Zimbabwe 222/9 in 50 overs (Beloved Biza 73, Kelis Ndhlovu 51; Tasmia Rubab 3-49, Ayesha Zafar 2-13) lost to Pakistan 225/1 in 31.5 overs (Gull Feroza 106*, Sadaf Shamas 90) by nine wickets.
