    Hayley Matthews, Stafanie Taylor and Afy Fletcher Climb ICC Women’s ODI Rankings After West Indies Series Sweep

    West Indies enjoyed a successful tour of Ireland after completing a 3-0 clean sweep in their ODI series at Bready, and their impressive performances have now been rewarded in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Rankings. Captain Hayley Matthews, veteran batter Stafanie Taylor, and experienced leg-spinner Afy Fletcher were among the biggest gainers following the dominant series victory, which also strengthened West Indies’ position in the ICC Women’s Championship.

    The series showcased the depth and quality of the West Indies squad as several players produced match-winning performances across all three ODIs.

    Hayley Matthews Continues Her Rise in ICC Women’s ODI Rankings

    The biggest success story from the series was the captain’s. Hayley Matthews ICC ODI rankings received another boost after she delivered outstanding performances with both bat and ball.

    Matthews was named Player of the Series after scoring a remarkable 265 runs in three matches. Her campaign included a career-best score of 159 and another century in the second ODI. She also contributed with the ball, picking up seven wickets to complete an excellent all-round performance.

    Her consistency has strengthened her position among the world’s best players. Matthews is now ranked No. 2 in the ICC Women’s ODI All-Rounder Rankings, No. 4 in the Bowling Rankings, and No. 8 in the Batting Rankings, underlining her importance to the West Indies team.

    Stafanie Taylor Moves Up After Match Winning Century

    Stafanie Taylor’s ICC rankings also improved after the experienced batter produced a brilliant innings in the final ODI.

    Taylor played one of her finest knocks in recent years, scoring 105 from 103 balls to help West Indies complete the clean sweep over Ireland. Her century provided the perfect finish to an outstanding series for the visitors.

    As a result of that performance, Taylor has climbed one place to 22nd in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings. The experienced batter continues to play a key role in guiding the younger players while remaining one of the team’s most reliable performers.

    Afy Fletcher Rewarded for Outstanding Bowling

    Afy Fletcher’s ICC Women’s ODI rankings also improved after the leg-spinner enjoyed an excellent series with the ball.

    Fletcher finished as the leading wicket-taker by claiming eight wickets across the three matches. Her best performance came in the opening ODI when she picked up 4/49, helping West Indies secure an important victory.

    Her consistent performances have lifted her one place to joint 21st in the ICC Women’s ODI Bowling Rankings. Fletcher’s experience and ability to take wickets at crucial moments continue to make her one of West Indies’ most valuable bowlers.

    Other West Indies Players Also Make Progress

    Several other players also climbed the rankings after the successful tour.

    Aaliyah Alleyne moved up four places to 73rd in the ODI Batting Rankings after making valuable contributions, including a useful 33 run knock in the final ODI. Deandra Dottin also gained six places to reach 75th in the Bowling Rankings following her important breakthroughs during the series.

    For Ireland, captain Gaby Lewis was rewarded for her fighting performances by climbing three places to 18th in the ODI Batting Rankings.

    The clean sweep has also boosted West Indies to fourth place in the ICC Women’s Championship standings with eight points. Along with improving the Hayley Matthews ICC ODI Rankings, Stafanie Taylor ICC Rankings, and Afy Fletcher ICC Women’s ODI Rankings, the series has strengthened West Indies’ hopes of securing direct qualification for future global tournaments.
