The 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup delivered exciting cricket as 12 teams battled for the biggest prize in the format. Australia finished the tournament unbeaten to lift another world title, while England reached the final in front of their home fans. Several other teams impressed with memorable performances, while a few failed to meet expectations.

Here are the Women’s World Cup team ratings for every team based on their overall performances.

    Australia – A+

Australia were once again the best team in the tournament. They won all five group stage matches before continuing their unbeaten run through the knockout rounds.

Outstanding contributions from Ellyse Perry, Beth Mooney, and Sophie Molineux helped Australia claim another Women’s T20 World Cup title. Their consistency with both bat and ball made them the clear number one side.

    England – A

England enjoyed an excellent campaign despite falling short in the final.

The hosts won all five group matches and looked like genuine title favourites before Australia outplayed them at Lord’s. Danni Wyatt-Hodge’s record breaking batting and Freya Kemp’s bowling were among the biggest positives.

    South Africa – A-

South Africa continued their rise in women’s cricket with another impressive World Cup campaign.

They won four of their five group matches to reach the semi finals. Tazmin Brits starred with the highest individual score of the tournament, while the team showed excellent balance throughout the competition.

    India – B+

India narrowly missed out on a place in the semi finals despite winning three group matches.

The team produced some excellent performances, including a record breaking tournament for teenage spinner N. Shree Charani, who finished as the leading wicket taker with 14 wickets. However, a few costly defeats prevented India from reaching the knockout stage.

    West Indies – B

West Indies had a competitive tournament and finished with three victories.

The Caribbean side displayed strong fighting spirit, while their bowling attack performed well in key matches. Although they missed the semi finals, they remained competitive throughout.

    Sri Lanka – B

Sri Lanka also earned three wins during the group stage.

Chamari Athapaththu led from the front with a brilliant unbeaten century and consistently inspired her team. Despite missing the knockout stage, Sri Lanka showed they can challenge stronger opponents.

    New Zealand – C+

The defending champions struggled to build momentum.

With only two wins from five matches, New Zealand could not defend their title successfully. They showed flashes of quality but lacked consistency throughout the tournament.

    Bangladesh – C

Bangladesh secured two victories but struggled against the stronger teams.

Their bowling remained disciplined, but the batting lineup failed to post enough competitive totals when it mattered most.

    Pakistan – C

Pakistan managed only one victory during the tournament.

Captain Fatima Sana impressed with the ball and finished among the leading wicket takers, but the team’s batting struggled for consistency, resulting in an early exit.

    Scotland – C-

Scotland celebrated a historic World Cup campaign by registering one victory.

Although they did not qualify for the next stage, they competed well against experienced opponents and gained valuable international experience.

    Ireland – C-

Ireland also claimed one memorable victory during the tournament.

The team fought hard throughout the competition but lacked the consistency needed to challenge for a semi final place.

    Netherlands – D

The Netherlands made their first Women’s T20 World Cup appearance but finished without a win.

Despite the results, simply qualifying for the tournament marked an important achievement for Dutch women’s cricket.

Among the Best and Worst Teams, Australia clearly set the standard with another dominant campaign, while England and South Africa also impressed. The expanded competition showcased the growing strength of women’s cricket, making the 2026 edition one of the most competitive Women’s T20 World Cups ever.
