Deepti Sharma has created history in women’s international cricket by becoming the all time leading wicket taker in Women’s T20I cricket. The India all rounder reached 171 wickets during India’s 94 run victory over Thailand at the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 in Dubai. The achievement came on a special day for Deepti as she also played her 150th T20I match for India.
Her record breaking performance made the occasion even more memorable. Deepti took three wickets without conceding a single run from just 1.1 overs, or seven deliveries, as Thailand were bowled out for 65 while chasing India’s 160 run target.

The Deepti Sharma T20I wickets tally has now reached 171 from 150 matches. She moved past Thailand’s Thipatcha Putthawong, who has 170 wickets from 97 matches, to take the top position on the all time list.
Rwanda’s Henriette Ishimwe is third with 164 wickets, while England’s Sophie Ecclestone has 154 wickets. Hong Kong’s Kary Chan and Australia’s Megan Schutt complete the top six with 153 and 151 wickets respectively.
