The International Cricket Council has unveiled the full schedule of warm-up fixtures ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England, marking the official build-up to the tournament.
A total of 12 matches will be played from June 6 to June 10 across Derby, Loughborough and Cardiff, offering teams valuable preparation time before the competition begins on June 12.
Key Fixtures Ahead of Tournament
The warm-up phase will feature both established sides and newly qualified teams, providing a competitive platform for squads to fine-tune combinations and assess form.
India are set to open their preparations against West Indies in Cardiff on June 8, before facing hosts England on June 10 in a key pre-tournament clash.
The opening day on June 6 will include fixtures between Netherlands and Scotland, as well as South Africa against Ireland. New Zealand and Bangladesh will also face off, while Sri Lanka take on Pakistan.
Among the notable encounters, England will meet defending champions Australia on June 8 in Cardiff, while New Zealand and South Africa will renew their contest on June 9 in Loughborough.
Teams such as Netherlands, Bangladesh, Ireland and Scotland, who qualified through the Women’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier, will use these matches to gain momentum ahead of the main event.

Tournament Set for Expanded Edition
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will run from June 12 to July 5 across England and Wales, featuring 12 teams competing in 33 matches at seven venues, including Lord’s, Edgbaston and The Oval.
The tournament will follow a group-stage format, with teams divided into two groups, and the top sides progressing to the semi-finals and final.
With strong ticket sales already exceeding 145,000, this edition is set to be the most attended Women’s T20 World Cup to date, with the warm-up fixtures expected to add further anticipation ahead of the main event.
