China will host Oman and Indonesia in an important women’s T20I Tri-series from August 20 to August 24, 2026, at the Zhejiang University of Technology Cricket Field in Hangzhou. The competition will give all three teams valuable match practice ahead of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup in the UAE and the 2026 Asian Games.

The China Women T20I Tri-Series will also carry full ICC T20I ranking points, making every match important for teams looking to improve their position in international cricket.

    Tri Series Format and Schedule

The Women’s T20I Tri-Series in China will feature a double round-robin league stage. Each team will play the other two teams twice, producing six league matches across four days.

The top two teams in the standings will qualify for the final on August 24.

The schedule begins with China taking on Oman on August 20. Indonesia will then face China on August 21, followed by an Oman Women vs Indonesia Women clash on the same day.

The second round of matches will take place on August 22 and 23, with China facing Oman and Indonesia, before Oman and Indonesia complete the league stage.

The top two teams will then meet in the final on August 24.

China Look to Make Home Advantage Count

For China, the tournament is an opportunity to test their squad against experienced Associate nations. Playing at home in Hangzhou will allow the team to become familiar with the conditions while also giving emerging domestic players a chance to gain international experience.

The hosts will be looking to improve their match fitness and develop greater squad depth ahead of the Asian Games. The series also provides an important platform for China’s players to compete in regular international T20 cricket.

Indonesia Enter as the Team to Beat

Indonesia arrive in China with strong recent form. They enjoyed an impressive campaign at the ACC Women’s Premier Cup in Malaysia, winning five of their six matches and securing qualification for the continental stage.

With 54 victories from 74 T20I matches, Indonesia enter the China – Oman – Indonesia women cricket tournament as the highest ranked side among the three teams.

Their recent results make them an important team to watch. The tournament will provide another chance for Indonesia to build confidence before they take on stronger opposition in upcoming Asian competitions.

    Oman Focus on Young Talent

Oman will use the tournament to test different combinations and prepare their squad for more challenging international matches. Captain Fiza will lead the team as they look to make progress in the ICC T20I rankings.

The series also marks an important moment for two Under-19 prospects, Pia Sharma and Aneeka Ashik, who have been handed senior international debuts. Their performances will be closely watched as Oman looks to develop its next generation of players.

Important Preparation for the Asia Cup

The China Women T20I Tri-Series comes at an important time in the women’s cricket calendar. With the Asia Cup and Asian Games approaching, all three teams need competitive matches to assess their squads and combinations.

For China, home conditions offer a chance to build confidence. Indonesia will aim to continue its strong form, while Oman will look to develop young players and improve its ranking.

With six league matches followed by a final, the Women’s T20I Tri-Series in China promises plenty of competitive cricket. More importantly, the tournament will give China, Oman and Indonesia a valuable opportunity to prepare for bigger challenges on the international stage.
