Denmark Women completed a 3-1 T20I series win over Greece Women after four matches at the Marina Ground in Corfu from May 9 to 10, 2026. Greece, captained by Aggeliki Savvani, started the series with a narrow win, but Line Ostergaard’s Denmark responded strongly to take the next three matches.
Greece Edge Opening Thriller
Greece began the series by winning the first T20I by three runs after defending 123. Maria Syrioti scored 25 off 36 balls, while wicketkeeper-batter Aggeliki Ioanna Argyropoulou and Adamantia Makri both added 23. Denmark also conceded 30 extras, which proved costly in a tight finish.
For Denmark, Diya Golechha and Sofie Ostergaard took two wickets each, while Camilia Ostergaard and captain Line Ostergaard picked up one apiece.
Chasing 123, Anne Ostergaard top-scored with 42 off 53 balls. Camilia Ostergaard remained unbeaten on 14 off 15, but Denmark finished on 119 for 7, falling just short. Savvani led Greece’s bowling with 3 for 27, while Syrioti and Makri also kept the pressure on.
Anne Ostergaard Fifty Levels the Series
Denmark hit back in the second T20I after Line Ostergaard chose to bat first. Anne Ostergaard led the innings with 54 off 50 balls, while Sarah Hojholt made 20 and Anne-Sofie Selbsagar added 16. Sofie Ostergaard’s unbeaten 10 helped Denmark move close to 140.
Greece again struggled with extras, giving away 28 runs. Maria Syrioti and Maria Afroditi Vervitsioti took two wickets each, but Denmark reached 138.
In reply, Greece could not build momentum and were bowled out for 67 in the 15th over. Syrioti, with 12, was the only batter to reach double figures, while extras top-scored with 25.
Selbsagar was Denmark’s standout bowler with 3 for 16, supported by Nita Dalgaard’s 2 for 22. The 71-run win brought Denmark level in the series.
Denmark Take Lead with Clinical Chase
Greece batted first again in the third T20I but could only reach 98 for 9. Adamantia Makri remained unbeaten on 20, while Argyropoulou made 13 and Syrioti scored 10. Extras contributed 20 runs to push the total close to three figures.
Denmark’s bowlers maintained control, with Dalgaard and Sofie Ostergaard claiming two wickets each. Camilia Ostergaard and Golechha were also economical.
The chase was handled calmly by Denmark’s top order. Sarah Hojholt made an unbeaten 30, Anne Ostergaard scored 24, and Farhat Afroz contributed 13. Selbsagar finished the job with 19 not out from 14 balls as Denmark won by seven wickets with 22 balls remaining.
Selbsagar Four-Wicket Haul Seals Series
In the final match, Greece once again chose to bat first but were dismissed for 86 in 20 overs. Argyropoulou top-scored with an unbeaten 26 off 31 balls, while Alekcandra Kourkoulou made 11 and Syrioti added 10.
Selbsagar produced the decisive spell of the match, taking 4 for 16 in four overs. Golechha and Line Ostergaard also picked up a wicket each, while Camilia Ostergaard bowled an economical spell.
Denmark chased 87 with ease, winning by seven wickets with 45 balls to spare. Maria Karlsen made 26 not out, Sarah Hojholt scored 16, and Line Ostergaard finished unbeaten on 15. Makri was Greece’s only wicket-taker, returning 2 for 26.
Anne Ostergaard ended as the leading run-scorer of the series with 129 runs at an average of 32.25 from four innings. Anne-Sofie Selbsagar topped the wicket charts with 8 wickets at an average of 8.50, playing a key role in Denmark’s series victory.
