New Zealand’s commanding white-ball performances against Zimbabwe between February 25 and March 11, 2026, have resulted in significant gains for several White Ferns players in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings. The hosts completed a 3-0 sweep in both the T20I and ODI series, with their consistent displays reflected in the updated rankings across multiple categories.

Skipper Amelia Kerr spearheaded the rise with a standout all-round showing during the ODI leg of the tour. Her performances were highlighted by a seven-wicket spell in Dunedin, making her only the seventh woman — and the first New Zealand player — to claim seven or more wickets in an ODI innings.

    Bowling Rankings

New Zealand’s white-ball specialists emerged as major beneficiaries in the revised ODI bowling standings. Kerr’s contributions with the ball included four wickets in the opening match, followed by her remarkable seven-wicket haul in the second fixture. She finished as the leading wicket-taker of the series, claiming 16 wickets at an average of 5.68 in three matches, which also featured a five-wicket haul in the third ODI. As a result, Kerr climbed five places to 11th in the ODI bowling rankings.

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt moved up two positions to 46th with 393 points. New Zealand seamer Rosemary Mair, who picked up wickets in two innings during the series, rose seven spots to 65th with 341 points. Fellow pacer Bree Illing advanced 15 places to 84th with 284 points after claiming one wicket in three innings. Sri Lanka’s Inoshi Fernando also made a modest gain, moving up one place to 100th with 244 points.

    Batting Rankings

Kerr was not the only New Zealand player to record notable progress following the series. Brooke Halliday surged eight places to 11th in the ODI batting rankings after scoring an unbeaten 157 from 117 deliveries in the opening match. Maddy Green climbed four spots to share 22nd position after contributing 67 in the same game and an unbeaten 27 in the second ODI.

Wicketkeeper-batter Isabella Gaze, who scored 97 runs across three innings in the series, moved up nine places to joint 64th on 377 points, level with Pakistan captain Fatima Sana. Zimbabwe opener Kelis Ndhlovu also gained nine places to reach 68th with 371 points after scoring 64 runs in two innings, including a half-century.

    All-Rounder Rankings

Kerr’s overall impact also saw her move up one position to fifth in the ODI all-rounder standings. West Indies spinner Afy Fletcher rose two spots to 41st with 107 points, while Australia’s Tahlia McGrath climbed two places to share 42nd with 106 points.

Zimbabwe captain Nomvelo Sibanda advanced six places to joint 82nd on 63 points alongside the UAE’s Michelle Botha. New Zealand’s Maddy Green moved up a couple of places to share 100th with Ireland’s Aimee Maguire and Zimbabwe’s Lindokuhle Mabhero.

The latest rankings update reflects New Zealand’s dominant run in the series, with Kerr’s leadership and performances playing a central role in the team’s upward trajectory ahead of upcoming international assignments.
