USA Women continued their strong run in the ICC Women’s T20 Challenge Trophy 2026 with a convincing seven-wicket victory over Nepal Women in Match 12, successfully chasing a target of 87 in just 11.5 overs.
USA Bowlers Dominate Early
Nepal Women opted to bat first after winning the toss, but the decision quickly backfired. Samjhana Khadka was dismissed for a duck on the very first ball, giving USA an ideal start.
The pressure remained throughout the innings as wickets fell at regular intervals. Bindu Rawal (3), Puja Mahato (8), and Kabita Joshi (1) were all dismissed cheaply, leaving Nepal struggling at 27 for 4 in the 12th over.
Amid the collapse, Rubi Poddar held the innings together with an unbeaten 51 from 51 balls. However, with limited support from the other end, Nepal managed only 86 for 6 in their 20 overs.
USA’s disciplined bowling effort was led by Maahi Madhavan, who took 2 for 16 in her four overs, while Ritu Singh picked up two wickets for 21 runs. Sainavi Kambalapalli (1 for 9), Abitiba Chudasama (1 for 20), and Lekha Shetty (0 for 9) also maintained tight control.
Vaghela Anchors the Chase
In response, USA began positively with Sainavi Kambalapalli scoring 21 from 17 balls, including five boundaries, before falling to Puja Mahato. Chetna Pagydala was dismissed for 1, leaving USA at 25 for 2.
Isani Vaghela then steadied the innings, remaining unbeaten on 35 from 29 balls, striking five fours and a six. She was supported by Pooja Ganesh, who added a quick 20 from just eight deliveries, hitting five fours before being dismissed with the score at 60.
Gargi Bhogle provided further support with an unbeaten 12 from 10 balls as USA closed out the chase comfortably.
USA Stay Top of the Table
USA reached the target of 89 in 11.5 overs, sealing a seven-wicket win with 49 balls remaining. For Nepal, Manisha Upadhayay was the most economical, returning 1 for 13 from three overs, while Kabita Kunwar and Indu Barma took one wicket each.
The result keeps USA at the top of the table with eight points from their matches, having lost only once, while Nepal remain third with four points.
