India Women produced a dominant performance against Pakistan Women in Match 9 of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026, securing a seven-wicket victory at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 5. After Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first, India’s bowlers delivered an outstanding performance to dismiss them for just 55 runs in 18.1 overs.

India then completed the chase in only 8.4 overs, reaching 57 for three and winning with 68 balls remaining. The result also secured India’s place in the semifinal.

Shree Charani Leads India’s Bowling Attack

The biggest highlight of the match was Shree Charani’s brilliant spell. The left-arm spinner claimed three wickets for just seven runs in her four overs, maintaining an excellent economy rate of 1.75.

Charani consistently troubled the Pakistan batters with her accurate bowling and played a major role in breaking down their top order. Her outstanding figures earned her the Player of the Match award.

Prema Rawat provided excellent support at the other end. She also picked up three wickets, finishing with figures of three for nine from four overs. The two spinners worked together effectively, putting Pakistan under constant pressure throughout the innings.

    Pakistan Suffer Record Collapse

Pakistan struggled with the bat and were eventually bowled out for only 55 runs. It was their lowest total against India in T20Is.

Shawal Zulfiqar was the highest scorer for Pakistan with 14 runs, while Muneeba Ali contributed 13. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to make an impact.

Pakistan’s collapse became even worse during the closing stages of the innings. They lost their final six wickets for just 20 runs as India’s spinners continued to dominate.

The IND W vs PAK W scorecard reflected India’s complete control with the ball, with Pakistan managing only 55 before being dismissed in 18.1 overs.

    Fatima Sana Gives Pakistan Hope

Despite the low target, Pakistan captain Fatima Sana provided her team with a brief opportunity during India’s chase. She claimed three early wickets, dismissing Shafali Verma for 12, Smriti Mandhana for nine and Pratika Rawal for four.

Her three wicket spell of 3/17 from three overs reduced India to 30 for three and created some uncertainty in the chase. However, India had too little to get and remained firmly in control.

    Harmanpreet Kaur Guides India Home

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten on 18 from 18 balls and calmly guided her team toward victory. Deepti Sharma also stayed unbeaten on 12 as the pair completed the chase in 8.4 overs.

India finished on 57 for three, securing a seven wicket victory with 68 balls remaining.

The India Women vs Pakistan Women highlights were dominated by India’s exceptional spin bowling, with Charani and Rawat combining for six wickets. Pakistan’s record low total and Harmanpreet’s composed finish were also key moments.

The India vs Pakistan Women’s Asia Cup 2026 result was another convincing victory for India, who strengthened their campaign and booked their place in the semifinal after an impressive all-round performance.
