Key Players to Watch in the Women’s Super-3 T20 Tournament

The tournament brings together several players who have featured prominently in Pakistan’s domestic and international women’s cricket.

Their performances could prove decisive as the three teams compete for places in the final.

    Rameen Shamim — Warriors

Rameen Shamim enters the competition following an outstanding National Women’s T20 Tournament. She finished as the competition’s leading wicket-taker with 19 wickets and was named Best Bowler.

Rameen also played a decisive role in Strikers’ one-run victory over Stars in the final, taking 2/9 from four overs and earning the Player of the Match award.

Her ability to restrict scoring and take wickets could be particularly valuable for Warriors.

    Sadaf Shamas — Warriors

Sadaf Shamas was one of the leading batters in the preceding National Women’s T20 Tournament. She finished with 285 runs and received the Best Batter award.

Sadaf also scored 37 in the final against Strikers, although her efforts were not enough to secure the title for Stars.

Her batting form makes her an important player in the Warriors lineup.

    Syeda Aroob Shah — Incredibles

Syeda Aroob Shah enters the Super-3 competition after receiving the Player of the Tournament award in the National Women’s T20 Tournament.

Her all-round abilities offer Incredibles flexibility in both departments.

She will be among the players looking to maintain their domestic form during the seven-match competition.

    Tuba Hassan — Champions

Tuba Hassan will have an important responsibility as captain of Champions.

The leg-spinner brings international experience to the side and can influence matches through her bowling in the middle overs.

Her leadership and ability to take wickets could be crucial in a short tournament where every league result matters.

    Muneeba Ali — Warriors

Muneeba Ali will captain Warriors and provide experience at the top of the batting order.

As a wicketkeeper-batter with international experience, she offers leadership and stability to a squad that includes several in-form domestic players.

Her performances could play an important role in Warriors’ pursuit of a place in the final.

    Why the Women’s Super-3 T20 Tournament Matters

The Women’s Super-3 T20 Tournament represents another opportunity for Pakistan’s leading domestic cricketers to compete in a structured, high-intensity environment. The competition follows the National Women’s T20 Tournament, which concluded with Strikers defeating Stars by one run in the final at Iqbal Stadium.

By selecting 39 players from the preceding domestic competition, the PCB aims to provide further match experience to cricketers who have demonstrated their abilities at national level.

The double round-robin format ensures that each team faces both opponents twice, creating opportunities for players to adapt their strategies and improve their performances across multiple matches.

The tournament also allows emerging players to compete alongside experienced internationals such as Sidra Amin, Diana Baig, Muneeba Ali and Tuba Hassan. With only three teams participating, every match will carry significance in determining the final standings.

The top two sides will progress to the November 5 championship match, where the inaugural Women’s Super-3 T20 title will be decided.
