India Women had a busy T20I calendar in 2026, competing against some of the strongest teams in women’s cricket. From bilateral series against Australia, South Africa and England to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup in the UAE, several Indian batters have made important contributions.
With the Women’s Asia Cup group stage now completed, three batters have clearly stood out in terms of runs. Here are the three players with the most T20I runs India Women 2026.
1. Smriti Mandhana
Smriti Mandhana sits at the top of the list with 588 runs from 17 innings in 2026. She has maintained an average of 36.75 and an impressive strike rate of 144.11. Her tally includes three fifties and one century, with a highest score of 124.
Mandhana produced one of the most memorable innings of the year during the 2026 Women’s Asia Cup. She smashed 124 from just 64 balls against Hong Kong in Dubai, hitting 14 fours and seven sixes. The innings became the highest individual score in Women’s T20 Asia Cup history and the highest T20I score by an Indian woman.
Her consistent performances across the World Cup and bilateral series have made her the India Women’s highest run-scorer in 2026.
2. Shafali Verma
Shafali Verma occupies second place with 465 runs from 17 innings. She has averaged 38.75 while maintaining a strike rate of 128.09. She has scored three half-centuries, with her highest score being an unbeaten 79.
The explosive opener also achieved a major career milestone during the Asia Cup. Against Pakistan on September 5, Shafali became the youngest player to reach 3,000 T20I runs. At 22 years and 220 days, she also reached the landmark in the fewest balls faced, surpassing Alyssa Healy.
Shafali has remained an important part of India’s aggressive opening combination. Her ability to score quickly has helped India make strong starts throughout the year.
3. Harmanpreet Kaur
India captain Harmanpreet Kaur completes the top three with 362 runs from 15 innings. She has an average of 30.16 and a strike rate of 122.71, along with two half-centuries. Her highest score in 2026 is 58.
Harmanpreet has played an important role in the middle order, particularly during difficult run chases. She produced several stabilising innings in Durban, Taunton and Dubai and remained unbeaten in four matches during the year.
She also created history during the Asia Cup by becoming the first cricketer in men’s or women’s international cricket to captain in 150 T20Is.
India Women T20I Batting Records
Mandhana, Shafali and Harmanpreet have been the leading contributors to India’s batting in 2026. Their contrasting styles have given the team balance at the top and in the middle order.
With more important T20 cricket ahead, their performances will remain central to India’s plans. For now, Mandhana leads the Most runs for India Women in T20I charts in 2026, followed by Shafali and Harmanpreet.
