India Women have enjoyed a strong bowling campaign in T20I cricket during 2026. Across bilateral series against Australia, South Africa and England, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup, India’s bowling attack has been led by a combination of experienced spinners and quality pace.

Deepti Sharma, Radha Yadav and Renuka Singh Thakur have been the three leading wicket-takers for India in T20Is this year. Their different bowling styles have given India options across the Powerplay, middle overs and death overs.

    1. Deepti Sharma

Deepti Sharma leads the Most T20I wickets India Women 2026 charts with 27 wickets from 18 innings. She has maintained an excellent economy rate of 5.85 and an average of 14.88. Her best figures in 2026 are 5/16.

The experienced off spinner produced her maiden T20I five-wicket haul against South Africa in April. She then continued her excellent form during the Women’s Asia Cup, taking three wickets against Thailand and another three against Hong Kong.

Deepti has also become one of India’s most dependable bowlers in different phases of an innings. She can bowl during the Powerplay, control the middle overs and return towards the end when India need wickets or tight bowling.

Her 2026 performances have further strengthened her position as the India Women highest wicket taker 2026.

    2. Radha Yadav

Radha Yadav occupies second place with 21 wickets from 16 innings. The left arm orthodox spinner has an economy rate of 6.42 and a bowling average of 17.52. Her best figures this year are 4/13.

Radha has been particularly effective during the middle overs. Her ability to attack the stumps and vary her pace has made her difficult for batters to attack, especially on turning surfaces.

One of her standout performances came against England in Birmingham, where she claimed 4/13 in a match turning spell. She has also strengthened her position among India’s leading T20I wicket takers after becoming one of only two Indian bowlers to cross 100 career T20I wickets.

    3. Renuka Singh Thakur

Renuka Singh Thakur completes the top three with 16 wickets from 15 innings. The right-arm fast medium bowler has an economy rate of 6.80 and an average of 21.25, with best figures of 3/18.

Renuka remains India’s primary new ball threat. She has bowled most of her overs during the Powerplay, using swing and seam movement to challenge opposition openers.

Her performances were especially important during the 2026 T20 World Cup in England, where she produced strong opening spells against Australia at Lord’s and Bangladesh at Old Trafford.

    India Women T20I Bowling Records

Deepti, Radha and Renuka have provided India with a strong mix of spin and pace throughout 2026. Deepti’s control, Radha’s middle overs wicket-taking and Renuka’s new ball threat have made the bowling attack more balanced.

For now, Deepti Sharma leads the Most wickets for India Women in T20I charts for 2026, followed by Radha Yadav and Renuka Singh Thakur. Their performances will remain crucial as India continue their campaign and prepare for the next stage of international T20 cricket.
