In a dominant display of tactical cricket, the India A Women’s team defeated Bangladesh A by 46 runs to secure the Asia Cup Rising Stars title in Bangkok on February 22, 2026. The final was a showcase of India’s psychological resilience, as they successfully navigated early batting stumbles and applied relentless pressure with the ball to dismantle the Bangladeshi chase.

The Indian innings faced immediate turbulence as they slumped to a precarious 44 for 4 within the first nine overs. Despite losing key wickets like Dinesh Vrinda and Minnu Mani early on, the middle order demonstrated remarkable maturity under the bright lights of the Terdthai Cricket Ground.

    Key Performance Highlights

    • The Rescue Act: Tejal Hasabnis and captain Radha Yadav orchestrated a vital 69-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Hasabnis was particularly impressive, remaining unbeaten with a stellar 51 off 34 balls.
    • Bowling Discipline: Prema Rawat led the defensive effort with a clinical 3 for 12, ensuring Bangladesh never found their rhythm.
    • All-Round Leadership: Radha Yadav followed up her crucial 36 runs with a disciplined bowling spell, picking up 1 for 16 to keep the required run rate climbing.

Bangladesh A’s pursuit of 135 runs never truly gained traction as the Indian bowlers stuck to a precise plan. Following the dismissal of Shamima Sultana for 20, the Bangladeshi middle order crumbled under the weight of the climbing run rate, eventually being bundled out for just 88 in 19.1 overs.

Fahima Khatun was the lone warrior for Bangladesh, taking 4 for 25 with the ball and contributing a brief cameo with the bat, but it was not enough to stop the Indian momentum. This victory underscores the immense depth in the Indian developmental circuit, proving that the next generation of “Women in Blue” is ready for the global stage.
