The 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England was dominated by explosive batting, with several teams crossing the 200-run mark. Despite the batting-friendly conditions, a few bowlers delivered remarkable performances that changed matches with skill, accuracy, and smart tactics.

Here are the best bowling spells Women’s T20 World Cup produced during the tournament, ranked by impact, quality, and match importance.

    5. Fatima Sana – 3 for 12 vs Netherlands

Pakistan captain Fatima Sana led from the front with an outstanding spell against the Netherlands during the group stage.

The right-arm seamer finished with figures of 3 for 12 in just three overs. She mixed pinpoint yorkers with slower deliveries, making life difficult for the Dutch batters throughout her spell.

Her disciplined bowling helped Pakistan gain complete control of the match, while she finished the tournament with 11 wickets as her team’s leading wicket-taker.

Among the top wicket-taking performances, Sana’s spell highlighted her leadership and consistency under pressure.

    4. Aaliyah Alleyne – 4 for 27 vs New Zealand

West Indies all-rounder Aaliyah Alleyne produced one of the finest pace bowling displays of the tournament against New Zealand.

With the White Ferns looking to finish strongly, Alleyne struck repeatedly by targeting the stumps and using clever variations in pace. Her final figures of 4 for 27 triggered a dramatic collapse that completely changed the momentum of the match.

It was a perfect example of how effective fast bowling could still be on batting-friendly pitches.

    3. Freya Kemp – 4 for 22 vs Sri Lanka

England’s Freya Kemp thrilled the home supporters with a brilliant new ball spell against Sri Lanka.

The left-arm seamer removed four batters for just 22 runs by generating excellent swing and consistently attacking the stumps. Her early breakthroughs dismantled Sri Lanka’s top order before they could settle.

England went on to dominate the contest, with Kemp’s opening burst proving to be the key moment of the game.

Her performance deserves a place among the Greatest Bowling Displays of the competition.

    2. N. Shree Charani – 4 for 19 vs Netherlands

India’s teenage spinner N. Shree Charani announced herself on the world stage with a superb performance against the Netherlands.

The left-arm spinner claimed 4 for 19 by varying her pace beautifully and forcing batters into mistakes. Her control and maturity stood out throughout the innings.

Charani finished the World Cup as the leading wicket-taker with 14 wickets, setting a new record for the most wickets by a player in their debut Women’s T20 World Cup.

Her spell remains one of the best bowling spells Women’s T20 World Cup fans witnessed in 2026.

    1. Deepti Sharma – 5 for 10 vs Pakistan

The top spot belongs to India’s experienced all-rounder Deepti Sharma.

Facing Pakistan at Edgbaston, Deepti produced a magical spell of 5 for 10, the only five-wicket haul of the entire tournament.

After Pakistan made a positive start, Deepti slowed the scoring with her clever spin before striking at crucial moments. She returned later to complete her five-wicket haul with three wickets in quick succession, completely ending Pakistan’s hopes.

That performance also resulted in the best bowling figures by an Indian woman in T20 International cricket.

Among all the top wicket-taking performances, Deepti’s spell stands as the finest of the tournament.

Although the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be remembered for record-breaking batting, these bowlers proved that quality bowling can still decide the biggest matches. Their efforts remain some of the greatest bowling displays in Women’s T20 World Cup history.
