Here are the best moments women’s T20 World Cup fans witnessed during an unforgettable competition.

    1. Nat Sciver-Brunt’s Emotional Walk at Lord’s

One of the most touching and unforgettable moments women’s cricket has ever seen came before the final at Lord’s.

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt walked onto the field carrying her infant son, Theo, during the national anthem. The crowd of more than 28,000 fans responded with a standing ovation, creating one of the most emotional scenes of the tournament.

The moment also highlighted the positive impact of the ICC’s new post-pregnancy return to play guidelines, showing that motherhood and international sport can successfully go hand in hand.

    2. Danni Wyatt-Hodge Creates History

England opener Danni Wyatt Hodge enjoyed the best tournament of her career.

She became the first player in Women’s T20 World Cup history to score more than 300 runs in a single edition, finishing with an incredible 302 runs. Her attacking batting gave England quick starts throughout the tournament and included several match winning performances.

Her record-breaking campaign was one of the biggest top highlights women’s World Cup produced.

    3. Ireland’s Historic Victory Over West Indies

Ireland celebrated one of the greatest wins in its cricket history by defeating former champions West Indies.

The victory marked Ireland’s first-ever Women’s T20 World Cup win after many unsuccessful attempts in previous tournaments.

All-rounder Orla Prendergast played the leading role by contributing with both bat and ball. Her match-winning innings of 63 guided Ireland to a famous victory and sparked emotional celebrations among players and fans alike.

The result also showed the growing competitiveness of emerging cricket nations.

    4. Australia’s Record-Breaking Final Chase

Australia once again proved why they remain the strongest team in women’s cricket.

Chasing 151 against England in the final at Lord’s, Beth Mooney scored an unbeaten 64 while Phoebe Litchfield added 48 during a brilliant 100 run partnership.

Australia completed the chase with 17 balls remaining, recording the highest successful run chase in the history of a Women’s T20 World Cup final and securing a record seventh title.

The dominant performance was undoubtedly among the best moments women’s T20 World Cup delivered.

    5. Shabnim Ismail Reaches 50 World Cup Wickets

South African fast bowler Shabnim Ismail added another remarkable achievement to her legendary career.

During the semifinal against England, she dismissed Amy Jones to become the first bowler ever to reach 50 wickets in Women’s T20 World Cup history.

After returning from international retirement for the tournament, Ismail once again proved why she is regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers in women’s cricket.
