The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the nominees for the Women’s Player of the Month award for February 2026, featuring standout performers from Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India. Harshitha Samarawickrama, Fatima Sana and Arundhati Reddy earned recognition following impressive contributions for their respective national sides.

Sri Lanka’s top-order batter Harshitha Samarawickrama played a crucial role in her team’s ODI series victory over West Indies. She finished as the leading run-scorer of the three-match contest, accumulating 171 runs at an average of 57.00. Her scores of 66, 35 and 70 underlined her consistency and reliability at the top of the order. Samarawickrama’s composed approach and sound technique helped Sri Lanka secure a 2-1 series win away from home, and she was subsequently named Player of the Series for her efforts.

Pakistan captain and all-rounder Fatima Sana also enjoyed a productive month during her side’s tour of South Africa. Although Pakistan lost both the ODI and T20I series 2-1, Sana stood out with significant contributions in both disciplines. In the T20I series, she emerged as the top run-scorer with 146 runs at an average of 73.00 and a strike rate of 184.81. Her standout innings came in the opening T20I, where she scored 90, followed by an unbeaten 47 in the third match along with figures of two wickets for 12 runs. She also made an impact with the ball, taking four wickets in the ODI series and two in the T20I leg.

India pacer Arundhati Reddy delivered an outstanding bowling display in the T20I series against Australia. Leading the bowling attack, she finished as the highest wicket-taker of the series with eight wickets at an average of 10.87. Reddy set the tone with figures of 4/22 in the opening match and continued her strong performances with returns of 2/30 and 2/35 in the subsequent games. Maintaining an economy rate of 7.25, she played a key role in helping India secure a 2-1 series triumph.

With each nominee producing influential performances for their teams, the race for the February 2026 honour is expected to be closely contested. Fans will now determine which of these impactful displays will be recognised with the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award.
