Greece Women are set to tour Cyprus for the first-ever bilateral series between the two sides, with the six-match T20I contest titled the Aphrodite Cup 2026. The series, beginning on April 3, marks a significant development for women’s cricket in the Mediterranean region.

All matches will be played at the Happy Valley Ground in Episkopi, with a compact schedule featuring two games per day across three days. For both teams, currently progressing through the ICC rankings, the series provides an important opportunity to gain ranking points and build momentum ahead of future qualification pathways.

    Match Schedule

    • April 3: Match 1 (11:15 AM) | Match 2 (3:30 PM)
    • April 4: Match 3 (11:15 AM) | Match 4 (3:30 PM)
    • April 5: Match 5 (11:15 AM) | Match 6 (3:30 PM)

All six fixtures will take place at the same venue. Spectators planning to attend should note that the ground is located within a British Sovereign Base Area, requiring prior registration through the Cyprus Cricket Federation website and valid identification for entry.

The matches will be streamed live on FanCode in India and on ICC.tv for global audiences.

    Teams Look to Build Momentum

Cyprus enter the series following a successful tour of the Czech Republic, with key contributions expected from Iresha Chathurani and Samanthi Dunukedeniya, who has been among the leading wicket-takers in recent matches.

For Greece, Maria Syrioti will be a central figure with the bat, while the bowling unit, led by Aggeliki Savvani — who recorded figures of 6 for 5 against Romania — will look to take advantage of the conditions at Happy Valley.

A New Chapter for European Women’s Cricket

This series represents the first official meeting between the two teams, offering a platform to establish a new competitive rivalry. With limited opportunities for consistent international fixtures, the Aphrodite Cup provides valuable exposure for players from both sides.

As the two teams prepare to face off, the series stands as an important step in the growth of women’s cricket across emerging European nations.
