Ireland Women are gearing up for one of their busiest seasons yet, combining crucial ICC Women’s T20 World Cup fixtures with an intensive ICC Women’s Championship (ICCWC) programme over the next 12 months.

The team will return to the international spotlight with a blend of home assignments and challenging overseas tours, all leading up to the 10th edition of the T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5, 2026.

Home Tri-Series to Launch Summer Campaign

Ireland’s preparations begin with a home T20I tri-series at Clontarf Cricket Club, where they will face West Indies and Pakistan in what serves as key warm-up matches ahead of the global tournament. The fixtures are scheduled as follows:

    Ireland Tri-Series:

    • 28th May 2026: Ireland Women Vs West Indies Women (4 pm)
    • 29th May 2026: Pakistan Women Vs West Indies Women (4 pm)
    • 31st May 2026: Ireland Women Vs Pakistan Women (4 pm)
    • 1st June 2026: Ireland Women Vs West Indies Women (4 pm)
    • 3rd June 2026: Pakistan Women Vs West Indies Women (4 pm)
    • 4th June 2026: Ireland Women Vs Pakistan Women (4 pm)

These matches provide an ideal platform for Ireland to fine-tune their combinations before entering a challenging group stage at the T20 World Cup.

Ireland Women’s T20 World Cup Fixtures

Ireland will take on a demanding set of opponents during the tournament, with their group-stage schedule listed below:

    • 13th June 2026: Vs Scotland Women (Old Trafford, 10.30 am)
    • 16th June 2026: Vs England Women (Hampshire, 6.30 pm)
    • 19th June 2026: Vs New Zealand Women (Hampshire, 6.30 pm)
    • 23rd June 2026: Vs Sri Lanka Women (Bristol, 2.30 pm)
    • 27th June 2026: Vs West Indies Women (Bristol, 2.30 pm)

    ICC Women’s Championship Schedule Intensifies

Following the World Cup, Ireland’s ICCWC commitments gather pace. The side will host India, New Zealand, Pakistan and West Indies, while also travelling to face England, Australia, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka during the cycle.

The immediate post-World Cup action includes a three-match ODI series against West Indies at Bready:

    ODI series vs West Indies

    • 10th July 2026: 1st ODI (10.45 am)
    • 12th July 2026: 2nd ODI (10.45 am)
    • 15th July 2026: 3rd ODI (10.45 am)

Ireland will then travel to England later in the year for another ICCWC assignment:

    ODI series vs England

    • 1st September 2026: 1st ODI (Leicestershire, 1 pm)
    • 3rd September 2026: 2nd ODI (Derbyshire, 1 pm)
    • 6th September 2026: 3rd ODI (Worcestershire, 1 pm)

Looking further ahead, the team is set to tour Zimbabwe in early 2027, with additional series against Australia and Sri Lanka also planned, alongside possible ICC warm-up fixtures.

In a humanitarian initiative, Cricket Ireland has also extended an invitation to the exiled Afghanistan Women’s team to play matches this summer, subject to scheduling around World Cup commitments. With a packed calendar ahead, Ireland Women face a period that could shape new rivalries and provide memorable moments for supporters.
