India Women created history with a 270-run victory over England Women in the first-ever women’s Test match played at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground. The memorable win on July 13, 2026, showcased India’s dominance with both bat and ball while producing several historic milestones at the Home of Cricket.

Leading by 271 runs after the first innings, India declared their second innings at 341/7, setting England a daunting target of 457. The hosts resumed the fourth day needing a miracle but were bowled out for 186 within the opening session as Harmanpreet Kaur’s side completed a famous victory.

England struggled in reply, managing only 170, thanks to an outstanding spell from Kranti Gaud, who claimed 5 wickets for 37 runs, while Sayali Satghare chipped in with two wickets.

India then strengthened their grip on the contest in the second innings. Yastika Bhatia produced the innings of the match with a brilliant 113, becoming the first woman to score a Test century at Lord’s. Mandhana added another important 70, allowing India to declare at 341/7.

England fought hard in the final innings through Amy Jones (54) and Sophie Ecclestone (50), but India’s bowlers remained in complete control. Sneh Rana led the attack with 4/42, helping dismiss England for 186 and sealing a memorable win.

    Lord’s Women’s Test Highlights

Lord’s Women’s Test highlights include record-breaking achievements that will be remembered for years.

Yastika Bhatia became the first woman to score a Test century at Lord’s, earning a place on the famous honours board after her composed innings of 113. Her century was especially inspiring after returning from a lengthy rehabilitation following ACL surgery.

Kranti Gaud also entered Lord’s history by becoming the first woman to feature on the bowling honours board after her outstanding first-innings figures of 5/37. Her disciplined seam bowling made full use of the famous Lord’s slope.

England spinner Sophie Ecclestone also earned a place on the honours board with a five-wicket haul in India’s second innings before fighting hard with a maiden Test half-century.

India Women vs England Women Test Review

This India Women vs England Women Test review underlines India’s complete dominance throughout the four days. Their seamers created early breakthroughs before the spin attack took charge as the match progressed.
