India vs Pakistan Women’s Asia Cup 2026: September 5 Clash in Dubai

The most anticipated match of the upcoming 2026 Women’s T20 Asia Cup is India vs Pakistan, scheduled for September 5 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The tournament will take place between August 28 and September 13. India and Pakistan are in Group A of the 2026 Women’s T20 Asia Cup alongside Thailand and Hong Kong, China.

If you are interested in the game odds, 1xBet it is likely to cover this match where India will face Pakistan just a couple of months since the teams played against each other in the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. India emerged victorious in the group stage game vs Pakistan in Birmingham that attracted record-breaking stadium attendance and global viewership.

India managed to score 170/6. Smriti Mandhana scored 68 from 44 balls, while Richa Ghosh scored 34 from 17 balls. Pakistan were all out for 106. Deepti Sharma performed brilliantly with the ball, managing to take 5/10.

This was yet another India’s impressive run against Pakistan. There was an earlier encounter between the sides in the 2024 Women’s Asia Cup held in Dambulla, in which India emerged victorious by seven wickets. Pakistan were bowled out for 108 runs in 19.2 overs, while Deepti Sharma took three wickets for 20 runs. India managed to make 112/3 in just 14.1 overs to win the game.

India are the most successful team in Women’s Asia Cup history, having won seven titles overall, including three in the T20 format. Their group stage begins against Thailand on 30th August. After that, India play against Hong Kong, China on 3rd September, followed by the much-awaited clash against Pakistan two days later.

As Pakistan will begin their challenge in the tournament against Thailand on September 1 before India, their last group game will be against Hong Kong, China on September 7. Since the best-performing teams will advance to the semi-final stage of the event, each group game will hold significance for the participants, and the India-Pakistan game may very well have an influence on the qualifications.

The recent performance of India has clearly boosted their confidence. Smriti Mandhana will continue to play a crucial role in the Indian batting line-up, while Deepti Sharma will be expected to impress with the ball, based on her performances against Pakistan in the 2024 Asia Cup and 2026 T20 World Cup.

However, Pakistan is not a side to underestimate, as T20 cricket is a sport that can create rapid reversals, and there are possibilities for Pakistan to take India on through an explosive start or an effective bowling display. The question is whether Pakistan can restrict the veteran India batters and capitalize on opportunities.

The Dubai International Cricket Stadium will stage all games of the 2026 tournament, including the final. Since both teams will play in identical conditions, adaptability and performance will become vital for the teams when they confront each other.

In view of this, the September 5 game will serve as yet another interesting chapter of women’s cricket between India and Pakistan. While India will seek to sustain their edge, Pakistan will be equally determined to get a win that turns the tables of the rivalry. For spectators of the game watching the action via the 1xBet online sports platform, there will be enough to take delight in, whatever the end result or the individual achievement of the players.
