Australia Women registered a convincing five-wicket victory over India Women in the second ODI of the three-match series at Bellerive Oval on Friday, moving 2-0 ahead.
The result further extended Australia’s remarkable home record in bilateral ODI series. It has now been 39 years since Australia women lost a bilateral ODI series on home soil, with their only such defeat coming against New Zealand in 1987 — a statistic that remains one of the most notable achievements in the sport.
Australia comfortably chased down the 252-run target, completing the pursuit in the 37th over.
Georgia Voll was named Player of the Match after producing a superb century that guided her team to victory. With this win, Australia have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
