The Women’s Hundred Auction held on March 11, 2026, has reshaped MI London — previously known as the title-winning Oval Invincibles — into a strong contender for the sixth edition of The Hundred, scheduled from July 21 to August 16, 2026.

After finishing sixth last season with eight points from eight matches, registering two wins and six defeats under captain Lauren Winfield-Hill, the franchise adopted a renewed strategy at the inaugural auction. By combining retained pre-auction stars such as Amelia Kerr, Hayley Matthews and Danielle Wyatt-Hodge with impactful new signings, MI London have assembled a balanced and competitive squad.

The revamped line-up features a blend of dynamic all-rounders, experienced domestic players and overseas talent. The team is set to begin its campaign against the rebranded Sunrisers Leeds — formerly Northern Superchargers and now under Sunrisers Hyderabad ownership — at Kennington Oval on July 21 at 7:15 PM IST.

    Auction Highlight: Nicola Carey Returns

Australian all-rounder Nicola Carey emerged as MI London’s marquee signing, joining the franchise for £95,000, the highest amount spent by the team at the auction. Carey returns to the Mumbai Indians setup after a productive fourth season of the Tata Women’s Premier League, where she scored 149 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 141.90 and an average of 37.25. She also took seven wickets at an average of 25.42 and an economy rate of 8.90. Her all-round capabilities are expected to strengthen the middle order while offering valuable bowling options.

Overseas Combination Completed with Chinelle Henry

MI London finalised their four overseas slots by securing West Indies all-rounder Chinelle Henry for £70,000. Set to make her debut in The Hundred, Henry’s power-hitting and versatility across phases add further depth to the squad. She joins retained overseas players Matthews (£120,000), Wyatt-Hodge (£110,000) and Kerr (£80,000), forming a strong international core.

    Domestic Core and Emerging Talent

Among the domestic signings, Kira Chathli was a notable addition at £80,000. She has scored 226 runs in 13 innings across 19 matches at a strike rate of 136.96 and an average of 17.38, including two half-centuries.

The squad also features experienced domestic players such as Kirstie Gordon (£55,000), Hollie Armitage (£45,000), Alexa Stonehouse (£42,500), Tara Norris (£35,000) and Alice Davidson-Richards (£30,000), along with promising talents Alice Monaghan (£27,500) and Ellie Threlkeld (£15,000), providing further depth in both batting and bowling departments.

With a refreshed squad and leadership changes, the franchise will aim to rediscover its winning momentum at Kennington Oval in the upcoming edition.
