The Hundred Women’s 2026 season ended with a new champion as Trent Rockets Women lifted their maiden title after defeating defending champions Sunrisers Leeds Women by eight wickets at Lord’s on August 16. The Rockets produced a dominant campaign from the group stage through to the final and finished the tournament as the strongest team.

The Hundred Women’s 2026 results for Trent Rockets are remarkable: they claimed the inaugural Helix Trophy after their men’s team reached the final as well. The award goes to the franchise with the best combined performance across the men’s and women’s competitions.

    Trent Rockets Win Maiden Title

Trent Rockets Women were outstanding throughout the league stage, winning seven of their eight matches. They finished first with 28 points and an impressive net run rate of +1.391, earning a direct place in the Lord’s final.

Sunrisers Leeds Women finished second with 20 points after winning five matches. They then defeated Southern Brave Women in the Eliminator to book their place in the final.

However, the defending champions struggled against the Rockets when it mattered most. Trent Rockets bowled Leeds out for just 91 before completing the chase in only 54 balls.

The eight-wicket victory came with 46 balls remaining, making it the fastest chase in a Hundred final.

Annabel Sutherland Wins Player of the Series

One of the biggest stories of the tournament was Annabel Sutherland’s outstanding campaign for Sunrisers Leeds. She finished as the leading run-scorer with 315 runs and also claimed 11 wickets.

Her performances earned her the Player of the Series award despite Leeds falling short in the final. Sutherland’s ability to contribute with both bat and ball made her one of the most valuable players of the season.

Samantha Bates of Trent Rockets, Deepti Sharma of Sunrisers Leeds and Southern Brave’s Tilly Corteen-Coleman finished as joint-leading wicket-takers with 13 wickets each.

    Standout Trent Rockets Batters

Sophia Dunkley and Beth Mooney formed one of the most dangerous opening combinations of the competition. Both players attacked from the start and regularly gave Trent Rockets strong Powerplay scores.

In the final, Dunkley scored 41 from 23 balls, while Mooney remained unbeaten on 31 from 21 balls. Their aggressive approach made the chase against Leeds look simple.

Samantha Bates also played a major role in the Rockets’ success. Her spin bowling helped control the middle stages of the matches and provided important breakthroughs throughout the campaign.

    Key Moments of the Tournament

Trent Rockets’ group stage dominance was the defining feature of the season. Their only defeat came in eight matches, while their strong net run rate showed how consistently they controlled games.

The Eliminator between Sunrisers Leeds and Southern Brave was another major moment. Leeds successfully chased 115 with five wickets remaining to reach the final.

The Lord’s final, however, belonged completely to Trent Rockets. Kim Garth and Georgia Adams reduced Leeds to 26 for three in just 25 balls before the defending champions were dismissed for 91.

    The Hundred Women’s 2026 Winners

The Hundred Women’s 2026 winners, Trent Rockets Women, combined aggressive batting, effective spin bowling and strong squad depth throughout the competition.

Their success showed the importance of starting matches strongly and maintaining pressure through the middle stages. The Rockets’ balanced squad allowed them to adapt to different match situations and finish the season as deserved champions.

Overall, the 2026 tournament delivered a new champion, several standout individual performances and an emphatic final at Lord’s.
