Trent Rockets Women created history on August 16, 2026, by winning their maiden Hundred title with a dominant eight-wicket victory over defending champions Sunrisers Leeds Women at Lord’s. The final was decided in just 54 balls as Trent Rockets chased down a modest target of 92 with 46 deliveries to spare.

It was a clinical performance from start to finish, with their bowlers dismantling the Sunrisers batting order before Sophia Dunkley and Beth Mooney completed a comfortable chase.

The Hundred Women’s 2026 Final Result

Sunrisers Leeds Women won the toss and were asked to bat first. They struggled against an aggressive Trent Rockets attack and were bowled out for just 91 from their 100 balls.

Annabel Sutherland top scored with 25 off 23 balls, while Dani Gibson contributed 22 from 16. However, regular wickets prevented Sunrisers from building any meaningful partnerships.

Trent Rockets reached 92/2 in only 54 balls to secure an eight-wicket victory. Sophia Dunkley led the chase with a brilliant 41 off 23 balls, while Beth Mooney remained unbeaten on 31 from 21 deliveries.

    Key Moments

The turning point came during the Powerplay when Kim Garth produced a devastating spell. The seamer took two wickets in three deliveries, reducing Sunrisers Leeds to 26/3 inside the opening 25 balls.

Georgia Adams then delivered a superb all-round performance. She took a leaping catch at short fine leg to dismiss Phoebe Litchfield, who had scored 10 from just five balls.

Adams later removed tournament top scorer Annabel Sutherland for 25, with Mooney completing the stumping. She also played a role in the dismissal of Jess Jonassen through a sharp run out.

The Sunrisers never recovered from the early collapse and were eventually bowled out for 91.

The chase was almost entirely controlled by Sophia Dunkley. The opener attacked from the beginning, scoring 41 from 23 balls and ensuring the Rockets never allowed the required rate to become an issue.

Beth Mooney then calmly guided the chase with an unbeaten 31 from 21 balls. Captain Ashleigh Gardner hit the winning boundary as Trent Rockets completed the chase with 46 balls remaining.

    Women’s Hundred Final Scorecard

Sunrisers Leeds Women were bowled out for 91, with Sutherland’s 25 and Gibson’s 22 providing their best contributions. Georgia Adams claimed 2/9, while Charley Phillips returned 2/12.

Trent Rockets Women finished on 92/2 from 54 balls. Dunkley’s 41 and Mooney’s unbeaten 31 were the major contributions.

Adams was named Player of the Match for her 2/9, one catch and one run out. Sutherland was named Player of the Tournament after finishing with 315 runs and 11 wickets.

    Full Match Analysis

The Hundred Women’s 2026 final highlights showed the importance of winning the Powerplay. Trent Rockets immediately attacked with disciplined lengths and removed Sunrisers’ biggest threats before they could settle.

Their fielding was equally impressive, while Adams and Phillips combined to concede only 21 runs across their spells.

The chase demonstrated the opposite approach. Instead of cautiously defending a small target, Trent Rockets attacked from the outset. Dunkley’s aggressive batting removed any possibility of a comeback before Mooney and Gardner finished the job.

The The Hundred Women’s 2026 final result marked a historic moment for Trent Rockets Women. The The Hundred Women’s 2026 final winner produced a complete performance at Lord’s to claim their first trophy in franchise history.
