The upcoming India Women vs Zimbabwe Women T20I encounter is set to provide a unique opportunity to see how two sides of different levels battle in an unprecedented bilateral series. The matches will take place on October 16, 18, and 20 in Raipur. There will be plenty of excitement for viewers and the players who have the potential to influence the outcome of the series.

For those keeping track of the matches through sites such as 1xBet, the emphasis will definitely be on batters and all-rounders who can turn the T20 match around in a few overs.

    Smriti Mandhana

Smriti Mandhana comes into the series following yet another remarkable achievement in her international career. In September, Smriti Mandhana became the highest run-scorer in women’s T20I cricket, surpassing New Zealand’s Suzie Bates. Mandhana achieved that when she scored 37 off 19 balls in the Asian Games 2026 semi-final between India and Bangladesh. She is also one of India’s outstanding options in the powerplay thanks to her combination of timing and fast acceleration.

Her partnership with Shafali Verma may prove decisive again. Their aggressive opening partnership in the Asia Games 2026 showed how quickly they can build pressure against the opposing teams’ bowlers. During the matches against Zimbabwe, they may have a crucial role in maximising the impact of the powerplay.

    Shafali Verma

Shafali Verma has already displayed her ability to change the outcome of a match in a few minutes. In the Asian Games semi-final against Bangladesh, she hit a maiden century in the T20I format from only 49 balls, which had nine sixes in it, having reached her fifty in just 24 balls. This makes Shafali Verma a very interesting player to watch in Raipur. Zimbabwe bowlers have to find methods of controlling her run-scoring capacity early on, whereas India can capitalise on her aggressive style during the powerplay.

    Deepti Sharma

Deepti Sharma’s recent performance in the Asia Cup has shown how proficient she is with the ball. Deepti Sharma finished the Women’s Asia Cup with 12 wickets, including three-wicket spells against Thailand and Bangladesh. She also can score some useful runs as a batsman in the lower-middle order, proving to be a valuable all-rounder in T20 cricket. With different conditions prevailing during the night games, the spin factor will be important for India.

    Harmanpreet Kaur

Harmanpreet Kaur is considered an important middle-order batswoman for the Indian team. She has been part of India’s team for the 2026 T20 World Cup together with Mandhana, Shafali, Deepti Sharma and Richa Ghosh. If Zimbabwe bowlers succeed in making any early breakthroughs, Harmanpreet’s experience can be essential in helping India control the game.

    Josephine Nkomo

Josephine Nkomo will captain the Zimbabwe team, having been chosen as the captain earlier in 2026. She made a comeback to the team after being out with an injury and has played an important role in Zimbabwe’s T20I series against South Africa.

    Modester Mupachikwa and Sharne Mayers

Modester Mupachikwa and Sharne Mayers are experienced players who remain part of Zimbabwe’s current T20I core. Both featured in the recent squads against South Africa and West Indies, with Mupachikwa’s remarkable performances behind the wickets as well as in batting. Recently, she scored 36 runs against South Africa, followed by 86 runs in ODIs against West Indies.

Mayers returned to international cricket in September after a two-year absence and has been included in the Zimbabwean squad against South Africa and West Indies.

The T20Is that will take place in Raipur are not just another ordinary assignment in the international schedule; these will be the first bilateral meeting ever between India Women and Zimbabwe Women, and this series is part of a tour involving six matches.

The Indian veterans – Mandhana, Shafali, Deepti and Harmanpreet – have plenty of experience in international cricket, while Zimbabwe players Nkomo, Mupachikwa and Mayers will be trying to test themselves against one of the best women’s cricket teams. With the 1xBet app providing a convenient way for cricket followers to keep track of the action, the October T20Is should offer an exciting contest between India’s established core and Zimbabwe’s developing side.
