Sri Lanka’s 2-1 victories over Pakistan in both the ODI and T20I series have been reflected strongly in the latest ICC Women’s Rankings update, with several players from the two teams making significant gains across the batting, bowling and all-rounder charts.
The series, played from July 23 to August 4, 2026, produced a number of standout individual performances under Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu and Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana. Career-best ratings, major jumps and fresh personal milestones featured prominently in the latest rankings shuffle.
T20I Batting Rankings
Chamari Athapaththu was one of Sri Lanka’s biggest beneficiaries, moving up one place to sixth in the ICC Women’s T20I batting rankings.
The Sri Lanka captain scored 39 in the opening match and followed it with 40 in the series-clinching second T20I, helping her reach a new career-high rating.
Australia opener Beth Mooney remains at the top of the rankings, but Athapaththu’s rise once again confirms her place among the leading batters in women’s T20 cricket.
Imesha Dulani made an even bigger leap following her superb unbeaten 101 in the first T20I. The Sri Lanka batter climbed 33 places to a career-best 23rd position.
Pakistan also registered notable gains.
Muneeba Ali moved four places to 30th, while Shawaal Zulfiqar jumped from outside the top 100 to 52nd after scores of 63 and 48 in the opening two matches.
Switzerland’s Meghna Rajan climbed nine positions to 81st with 362 rating points, while Sri Lanka’s Vishmi Gunarathne moved one place to 84th with 350 points.
Spain’s Hillman-Bermejo recorded one of the largest rises in the update, jumping 150 places to 86th with 346 points.
Tanzania’s Saum Mtae also climbed five spots to 98th with 314 points.
T20I Bowling Rankings
England’s Linsey Smith and India’s Deepti Sharma both gained one position in the latest T20I bowling rankings. Smith moved to sixth with 704 rating points, while Deepti rose to seventh with 703.
Namibia’s Eveleen Kejarukua and Netherlands bowler Iris Zwilling each climbed two places, reaching 55th and 56th respectively.
Wilka Mwatile of Namibia jumped six spots to joint 70th with 422 points, level with South Africa’s Shabnim Ismail.
Uganda’s Concy Aweko also made progress, climbing eight places to joint 93rd with 364 points alongside Tanzania’s Sheila Kizito.
T20I All-Rounder Rankings
Sri Lanka’s series success was built around contributions across multiple disciplines, and the all-rounder rankings reflected that balance. Athapaththu remained a major presence because of her influence with both bat and ball, while Kavisha Dilhari continued to strengthen her position as one of Sri Lanka’s most useful multi-dimensional players.
Pakistan’s Ayesha Zafar climbed 11 places to joint 63rd with 84 rating points, alongside UAE’s Heena Hotchandani.
Namibia’s Wilka Mwatile recorded a 24-place rise to joint 81st with 66 points, level with Zimbabwe’s Kelis Ndhlovu.
Uganda’s Janet Mbabazi moved 12 places to joint 86th with 64 points alongside Sri Lanka’s Malki Madara.
Spain’s Hillman-Bermejo made another huge leap, climbing 122 positions to joint 96th with 59 points.
She shares that spot with India’s Shree Charani, South Africa’s Shabnim Ismail, England’s Heather Knight, Thailand’s Chanida Sutthiruang and Netherlands player Robine Rijke.
ODI Batting Rankings
India captain Harmanpreet Kaur moved one place to ninth in the ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings with 652 rating points.
Sri Lanka’s Harshitha Samarawickrama was one of the major movers after an outstanding ODI series against Pakistan.
The Player of the Series scored 173 runs across the three matches and finished with an unbeaten 73 in the decider. Her performances lifted her four places to 13th.
Hasini Perera also improved, moving two positions to 35th after another useful series.
Athapaththu climbed three places to 18th with 610 points, further strengthening Sri Lanka’s presence in the batting rankings.
For Pakistan, Gull Feroza gained nine places to move to 45th.
Captain Fatima Sana rose six positions to 56th, while Muneeba Ali climbed three places to 57th with 425 points.
Najiha Alvi also moved three spots to 76th with 330 points.
ODI Bowling Rankings
Pakistan spinner Nashra Sandhu was rewarded for taking four wickets during the series, moving three positions to 10th in the ODI bowling rankings.
Her rise strengthened her status among the leading white-ball bowlers in the women’s game.
Athapaththu gained one place to move to 31st among ODI bowlers, while Kavisha Dilhari climbed three positions to 33rd.
Sri Lanka’s Dewmi Vihanga also made progress, rising four places to 63rd with 347 rating points.
ODI All-Rounder Rankings
Sri Lanka continued to feature prominently in the ODI all-rounder standings.
Athapaththu maintained her strong position through contributions with both bat and ball, while Dilhari moved one place to 13th with 231 rating points.
Pakistan also had positive movement in the category.
Fatima Sana climbed one place to 15th with 219 points, while Nashra Sandhu’s continued impact with the ball kept her among Pakistan’s important all-round contributors.
Sri Lanka-Pakistan Series Drives Major Rankings Movement
The latest ICC rankings update underlines the individual impact of a closely contested tour.
Sri Lanka’s success was reflected most clearly through the rises of Athapaththu, Dulani, Samarawickrama and Dilhari, while Pakistan still had several notable gainers despite losing both series 2-1.
