Sri Lanka’s 2-1 ODI series victory over Pakistan has led to several significant movements in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Rankings.
The hosts completed the three-match series with an eight-wicket victory in the final ODI, while strong individual performances across the contest were rewarded in the batting, bowling and all-rounder standings.
Pakistan veteran Sidra Amin was among the biggest beneficiaries after scoring her seventh ODI century, while Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu improved her position in both the bowling and all-rounder rankings.
Sidra Amin Moves into Batting Top 10
Sidra Amin climbed one place to ninth in the ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings after another productive series for Pakistan.
The 34-year-old right-hander was Pakistan’s leading scorer across the opening two matches before converting her form into a seventh ODI hundred in Hambantota.
Her innings helped her move above India captain Harmanpreet Kaur and reinforced her importance at the top of Pakistan’s batting order during the ICC Women’s Championship.
Pakistan opener Gull Feroza also made notable progress, rising 18 places to 54th after a steady start to the series.
Captain Fatima Sana moved up one position to 62nd with 406 rating points, while Najiha Alvi climbed one spot with 315 points, alongside England’s Emma Lamb.
Ayesha Zafar recorded one of the largest gains among Pakistan’s batters, jumping 28 positions to 82nd with 303 points.
Vishmi Gunarathne Rewarded for Century
Vishmi Gunarathne made the biggest move among Sri Lanka’s batters after scoring 123 in the second ODI. The match-changing century lifted her 16 places to 39th in the batting rankings.
Several other Sri Lankan players also progressed following their contributions to the series victory.
Harshita Samarawickrama moved up three places to 17th, Nilakshika Silva climbed two positions to 24th and Kavisha Dilhari advanced five spots to 38th.
Their progress reflected the depth of Sri Lanka’s batting unit, which received important contributions from both the top and middle order throughout the series.
Athapaththu Climbs in Bowling Rankings
Athapaththu’s impact was not limited to her batting. The Sri Lanka captain climbed three places to 32nd in the ICC Women’s ODI bowling rankings with 446 rating points after making useful contributions with the ball.
Kavisha Dilhari also enjoyed a significant rise, moving nine positions to joint 36th following her performances during the series.
Dewmi Vihanga climbed two places to 67th with 330 points.
Pakistan’s spin bowlers also made progress. Umm-e-Hani rose 11 positions to 53rd, while Syeda Aroob Shah also climbed 11 places to reach joint 63rd.
Tasmia Rubab moved up two positions to joint 94th with 261 points, level with Bangladesh all-rounder Ritu Moni.
Sri Lankan Pair Rise Among All-Rounders
Athapaththu’s contributions with both bat and ball lifted her one place to eighth in the ODI all-rounder rankings. The improvement further underlined her status as Sri Lanka’s most influential player and a key contributor in multiple phases of the game.
Dilhari also advanced two positions to 14th after delivering valuable performances across both disciplines.
Pakistan spinner Nashra Sandhu climbed one place to 47th with 89 rating points.
Aroob Shah recorded another significant rise, jumping 18 positions to joint 62nd with 74 points, level with Ireland’s Cara Murray.
Strong Performances Receive Rankings Reward
The latest rankings update reflected the impact of several experienced players and emerging performers during the three-match series.
Amin’s return to the top 10 rewarded her consistency at the top of Pakistan’s order, while Athapaththu and Dilhari strengthened their positions across multiple categories.
Gunarathne’s major rise also highlighted the value of her century in Sri Lanka’s successful campaign.
With the ODI series complete and attention now turning to the T20Is, the rankings underline how quickly decisive performances can influence a player’s standing at international level.
