Zimbabwe Women have announced a 15-member squad for their historic white-ball tour of India in October 2026, retaining the same group that recently delivered the country’s first-ever victory in the ICC Women’s Championship.
The selectors have opted for continuity after Zimbabwe defeated West Indies by four wickets at Harare Sports Club on September 27, with captain Josephine Nkomo once again set to lead the side.
Nkomo to captain Zimbabwe in India
Zimbabwe will play three T20Is followed by three ODIs against India. This will be the first-ever bilateral international meeting between India Women and Zimbabwe Women.
Nyasha Gwanzura, who produced career-best figures of 4/33 in the win over West Indies, keeps her place, while Michelle Mavunga and Francisca Chipare remain part of the bowling attack.
Kelis Ndhlovu, Beloved Biza and Sharne Mayers are among the key batting options in the squad.

The tour will begin with the T20I series in Raipur on October 16.
The teams will then move to Vadodara for the ODI series, which starts on October 23. All three ODIs will count towards the ICC Women’s Championship.
For Zimbabwe, the tour represents another important step after their breakthrough win over West Indies and gives the squad the chance to test itself against one of the strongest teams in world cricket.
India begin new chapter under Mandhana
The series will also mark the beginning of a new era for India Women under Smriti Mandhana, following Harmanpreet Kaur’s decision to step down as all-format captain.
Mandhana already has leadership experience, having captained India in 18 T20Is and four ODIs.
Harmanpreet remains part of India’s ODI squad and is expected to feature as a specialist batter.
