Guyana Amazon Warriors Women were crowned Women’s CPL 2026 champions after defeating Trinbago Knight Riders Women by two wickets in a thrilling final at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown. Chasing 146, Guyana survived a dramatic middle order collapse before Chedean Nation produced an unbeaten 39 to seal victory with three balls remaining.

The Women’s CPL 2026 final result was defined by the last moments of a tense chase. Chloe Tryon played an important counter-attacking innings before Nation held her nerve to guide the Amazon Warriors to 149/8 in 19.3 overs.

TKR Women Post 145 After Early Setbacks

Trinbago Knight Riders Women won the toss and chose to bat first, but they were immediately put under pressure. Shabnim Ismail struck with the second delivery of the match, dismissing Laura Harris for a duck.

Alongside Shamilia Connell, Ismail helped restrict TKR to 27/2 during the Powerplay. Sushma Verma then played a crucial role in rebuilding the innings, scoring 39 from 34 balls with two fours and two sixes.

Marizanne Kapp changed the momentum with a 25 from just 10 balls, while Shikha Pandey added 27 from 17 deliveries. Their aggressive contributions helped TKR recover from 103/5 and finish on 145/6 after 20 overs.

    Guyana Lose Five Wickets

Amazon Warriors began their chase positively and reached 43/1 during the Powerplay. However, TKR’s bowlers soon turned the match around as Deandra Dottin and Karishma Ramharack put the pressure back on Guyana.

Ramharack produced a particularly important spell during the 10th over, taking two wickets in two deliveries. Guyana suddenly slipped to 55/5, leaving the defending champions in a difficult position.

With 91 runs still required and only five wickets remaining, the momentum appeared to be with Trinbago Knight Riders Women.

Tryon and Nation Change the Game

Guyana captain Chloe Tryon refused to allow the chase to drift away. She attacked the TKR bowlers and scored 32 from just 18 balls, hitting four fours and one six.

Chedean Nation provided crucial support and kept the required run rate under control. Even after Tryon was dismissed in the 17th over, Nation continued to attack and kept Guyana’s hopes alive.

Sheneta Grimmond’s dismissal in the 19th over created another moment of pressure, but Nation remained composed. She eventually finished unbeaten on 39 from 21 balls, including four sixes.

    Nation Seals a Dramatic Victory

Trinbago Knight Riders Women vs Guyana Amazon Warriors Women highlights focus on the closing stages. Nation found the boundaries when Guyana needed them most and completed the chase with three balls remaining.

Guyana reached 149/8 in 19.3 overs to win by two wickets. Nation was named Player of the Match for her unbeaten 39, while Tryon’s aggressive contribution proved equally important during the middle overs.

Guyana Amazon Warriors Women Crowned Champions

The WCPL 2026 final highlights Guyana’s remarkable recovery after losing five wickets for 55 runs. TKR had opportunities to close out the match, but Nation’s late hitting kept the Amazon Warriors ahead during the final overs.

The Women’s CPL 2026 final result confirmed Guyana Amazon Warriors Women as champions after one of the tournament’s closest finishes. For Trinbago Knight Riders Women, their 145/6 proved competitive, but Guyana’s lower order produced the decisive response when it mattered most.
