China Women secured their second victory of the T20I Tri-Series with a seven-wicket win over Indonesia Women in a rain-shortened nine-over contest in Hangzhou.
Chasing 69, China reached 69/3 from nine overs, with Wang Huiying anchoring the innings with 34 and Mingyue Zhu providing a crucial late burst. Wang was named Player of the Match.
Indonesia Post 68/3
Indonesia made a steady start through Maria Corazon and Ni Luh Dewi. Maria top-scored with 25 from 20 balls, while Ni Luh added 14 from 13. The pair gave Indonesia a useful platform before Cai Yuzhi dismissed Maria.
Ni Putu Ayu Nanda Sakarini then provided the late acceleration, striking 22 from 16 balls before falling to Ma Ruike.
Indonesia eventually finished on 68/3.
Ma Ruike, Jiaping Li and Cai Yuzhi claimed one wicket each for China.
Wang Huiying Anchors the Chase
China lost Wei Haiting early, but Wang took control of the innings.
She scored 34 from 31 balls, hitting four boundaries and keeping the chase on track despite the early setback.
Wang and Mingyue Zhu added a crucial partnership that carried China from 4/1 to 54/2.
Mingyue Zhu Provides Late Push
After Wang was run out, Mingyue kept the required rate under control with an aggressive 18 from nine balls, including a four and a six.
She was dismissed with China on 65/3, leaving only four runs needed.
Cai Yuzhi then completed the chase, finishing unbeaten on four as China reached the target from the final ball of the ninth over.
China Continue Strong Tri-Series Start
The seven-wicket win gave China another two points in the tri-series standings.
Indonesia received contributions from Maria, Ni Luh and Nanda Sakarini, but China’s controlled bowling and stronger partnerships ultimately made the difference.
Wang Huiying’s composed 34 proved decisive as the hosts held their nerve to complete a tight chase.
