Knockout matches in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup are where players create history. Every run matters, and one strong partnership can completely change the outcome of a semi-final or final. While individual brilliance often grabs attention, it is partnerships that usually decide who lifts the trophy.

The highest partnerships in Women’s T20 World Cup knockout matches have featured remarkable batting displays under pressure. Here are the top five biggest partnerships that have shaped some of the most memorable moments in women’s cricket.

    1. Nat Sciver Brunt and Heather Knight – 133 Runs (2026)

England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt and Heather Knight hold the record for the highest partnerships in Women’s T20 World Cup knockout history.

The experienced pair added 133 runs for the fourth wicket against South Africa in the 2026 semi-final at The Oval. England were in serious trouble at 23 for 3 before the partnership completely changed the match.

Sciver-Brunt led the attack with 75 off 47 balls, while Knight played the perfect supporting role with 58 from 47 deliveries. Their partnership guided England to a winning total of 169 for 5 and secured a place in the final.

    2. Claire Taylor and Beth Morgan – 122 Not Out (2009)

One of the best batting partnerships women’s cricket has witnessed came in the inaugural Women’s T20 World Cup.

Chasing 164 against Australia in the 2009 semi-final, England lost two early wickets and needed someone to steady the innings.

Claire Taylor remained unbeaten on 76 while Beth Morgan contributed an unbeaten 46. Together, they added 122 runs for the third wicket and took England into the final, where they eventually won the tournament.

    3. Hayley Matthews and Stafanie Taylor – 120 Runs (2016)

West Indies produced one of the greatest upsets in women’s cricket during the 2016 final against Australia.

Hayley Matthews scored a brilliant 66 from 45 balls, while captain Stafanie Taylor made 59 from 57 deliveries. Their opening partnership of 120 runs laid the foundation for an unforgettable eight wicket victory.

The stand remains one of the greatest Women’s T20 knockout records, helping West Indies lift their maiden Women’s T20 World Cup title.

    4. Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney – 115 Runs (2020)

Australia’s opening pair dominated India in the 2020 final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Alyssa Healy played one of the finest innings in a World Cup final, smashing 75 from only 39 deliveries. Beth Mooney supported her with an unbeaten 78 as the duo shared a 115 run opening partnership.

Australia posted 184 for 4 before comfortably winning the final in front of a record crowd.

    5. Beth Mooney and Phoebe Litchfield – 100 Runs (2026)

Australia feature once again thanks to another outstanding partnership from Beth Mooney.

In the 2026 final against England at Lord’s, Australia slipped to 17 for 1 before Mooney and Phoebe Litchfield rescued the innings with a 100 run stand for the second wicket.

Mooney scored 64 from 49 balls, while Litchfield made an attacking 48 from 35 deliveries. Their partnership guided Australia to victory with 17 balls remaining and secured a record seventh Women’s T20 World Cup title.

A Record That Highlights Big Match Greatness

These best batting partnerships Women’s Cricket has produced prove that teamwork is often more valuable than individual brilliance in knockout matches.

Among these Women’s T20 knockout records, one player stands out above the rest. Beth Mooney appears twice in the top five, underlining her reputation as one of the greatest big match performers in women’s cricket. Whether rebuilding after early wickets or dominating from the start, these partnerships have created unforgettable moments in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup history.
