Australia Women are set to begin their T20I bilateral series against West Indies Women at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingston. Despite maintaining solid form in international cricket, the visitors recently suffered a T20I series defeat against India Women. Newly appointed captain Sophie Molineux will be aiming for a positive start in her leadership tenure as Australia look to regain momentum. Ahead of the opening fixture, three players stand out as key figures to perform.

    Ellyse Perry

All-rounder Ellyse Perry continues to be a vital presence in Australia’s T20I setup, contributing with both bat and ball. She has amassed 2,201 runs from 114 innings at a strike rate of 116, while also taking 126 wickets from 137 bowling innings at an economy rate of 5.84. Perry experienced a relatively quiet outing in the recent series against India Women, scoring 28 runs across three matches. Her ability to influence the game in crucial moments makes her an important player heading into the series opener.

    Ashleigh Gardner

Ashleigh Gardner has established herself as one of Australia’s most consistent all-round performers in recent years. In T20 internationals, she has scored 1,482 runs from 77 innings at a strike rate of 127 and claimed 81 wickets from 86 bowling innings with an economy rate of 6. During the recent T20I series against India Women, Gardner delivered a strong performance, scoring 71 runs and registering a three-wicket haul. Her dual ability to accelerate the scoring and break key partnerships could prove decisive for Australia.

    Georgia Voll

Top-order batter Georgia Voll is a relatively recent addition to the Australian lineup but has already made a significant impact with several match-defining innings. She has accumulated 326 runs in nine T20I innings at a strike rate of 150. Voll has also impressed in franchise competitions, underlining her value as an attacking option at the top. In the recent series against India Women, she scored 116 runs, including a notable 88 that earned her the Player of the Match award. She will be looking to carry that form into the clash against West Indies.
