    The Hundred Women’s Competition 2026: MI London vs London Spirit Match Review and Key Takeaways

    One of the most exciting matches of The Hundred Women’s competition 2026 ended in dramatic fashion as MI London Women and London Spirit Women played out a thrilling tie at the Kennington Oval. Both teams finished on 151, producing one of the closest contests of the season.

    The game featured explosive batting, crucial partnerships, and outstanding bowling at the death. The MI London Women vs London Spirit Women highlights showcased why The Hundred continues to deliver thrilling finishes, with neither side able to find the winning runs in the closing moments.

    MI London Finish Strong with Late Fireworks

    After being sent in to bat, MI London Women posted a competitive total of 151 for 4 from their 100 balls.

    Melie Kerr played a composed innings, remaining unbeaten on 49 from 32 balls. She anchored the innings while wickets fell around her and ensured MI London had a platform for a strong finish.

    The biggest impact, however, came from Chinelle Henry. The Jamaican all rounder changed the momentum with a stunning unbeaten 33 from just 12 balls. Her powerful hitting included four boundaries and two sixes, with 16 runs coming from the final three deliveries of Nadine de Klerk’s spell.

    Hollie Armitage also made a useful contribution with 23 from 21 balls.

    For London Spirit, Marizanne Kapp was the standout bowler, taking 2 wickets for 24 runs. Grace Harris also claimed a wicket during her short spell.

    Spirit Recover Brilliantly After Early Blow

    London Spirit’s chase got off to the worst possible start when Grace Harris was dismissed for a golden duck by Chinelle Henry on the very first ball.

    Despite the early setback, Marie Kelly and Amy Jones produced an outstanding recovery. Kelly attacked confidently on her way to 45 from 28 balls, while Jones narrowly missed out on a half century after scoring 49 from 36 deliveries.

    The pair added 68 runs for the second wicket and brought Spirit firmly back into the contest.

    Marizanne Kapp then continued the momentum with an aggressive 25 from only 13 balls, keeping the chase under control as the required rate remained within reach.

    Brilliant Finish Creates a Tie

    The most memorable MI London Women vs London Spirit Women highlights came during the closing stages of the chase.

    London Spirit needed just 12 runs from the final nine balls and appeared to be favourites. However, MI London held their nerve under pressure.

    Nicola Carey delivered a disciplined spell that restricted the scoring opportunities at a crucial stage. Hayley Matthews then produced an outstanding final set, dismissing Nadine de Klerk and conceding only three runs from the last three deliveries.

    Needing more than a single from the final ball, Deandra Dottin managed only one run, leaving London Spirit on 151 for 5 and tying the match.
