    Sophia Dunkley Sizzles as England Complete Women’s ODI Series Whitewash Against Ireland

    Sophia Dunkley produced a brilliant Player of the Match performance as England Women completed a 3 – 0 ODI series whitewash against Ireland. Dunkley scored a superb century in the third ODI at New Road, Worcester, helping England secure a comfortable 114-run victory.

    The win completed a dominant series for England, who won all three matches while rotating their squad. Dunkley was the biggest star of the series, finishing as England’s leading run-scorer with 212 runs at an average of 70.66.

    Sophia Dunkley Stars With Match Winning Century

    Opening the batting alongside Maia Bouchier, Dunkley played a controlled innings to give England a strong foundation. She scored 119 runs from 119 balls, hitting 15 boundaries and maintaining a strike rate of exactly 100.

    Bouchier provided quick support at the other end with 39 from 35 balls. After Bouchier’s dismissal, Dunkley continued to control the innings and built another useful partnership with Jodi Grewcock, who contributed 35 runs.

    Ireland’s Cara Murray was able to create some pressure with the ball and finished with four wickets for 56 runs. However, England’s lower order ensured that the hosts reached a strong total.

    Dani Gibson scored an important 41 from 37 balls, while Freya Kemp added 23 from 21 deliveries. Their contributions helped England finish on 291 all out in 48.5 overs.

    Sophia Dunkley Ireland Series Numbers

    Sophia Dunkley’s Ireland series performance has been an excellent one. She started the series with 73 from 61 balls in the first ODI at Grace Road in Leicester.

    England won that match by six wickets, with Maia Bouchier scoring an unbeaten century. Dunkley then made 20 from 21 balls in the second ODI at the County Ground in Derby.

    England again won by six wickets, with Issy Wong taking an impressive five wickets for 29 runs. Dunkley’s century in Worcester then completed a strong individual series.

    Her overall tally of 212 runs made her the standout batter across the three matches. She also showed her ability to play different roles depending on the team’s needs.

    Sophia Dunkley Latest Score Helps England Seal Whitewash

    The Sophia Dunkley latest score of 119 was the key performance in the final ODI. Her ability to stay at the crease for almost 20 overs while maintaining a scoring rate of 100 gave England control of the innings.

    Ireland needed a strong start in the chase but struggled to build partnerships. Amy Hunter top scored with 39, but regular wickets kept Ireland under pressure.

    Lauren Filer and Mady Villiers both took three wickets. Filer finished with 3/27, while Villiers claimed 3/33. Debutant left arm spinner Tilly Corteen Coleman also impressed with 2/34.

    Ireland were eventually bowled out for 177 in 44.2 overs, giving England a 114-run victory.

    England Women ODI Series Win

    England Women’s ODI series win was completed without much trouble. England won the opening match by six wickets, followed that with another six wicket victory and finished the series with a commanding 114-run success.

    Dunkley’s performances were one of the biggest positives from the series. Her century in the final match provided the perfect finish to a dominant campaign and underlined her importance to England’s ODI batting plans.
