The Mumbai Cricket Association has announced the full schedule for the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women’s League 2026, marking a significant step in expanding the domestic women’s cricket structure. The tournament will run alongside the men’s T20 Mumbai League, reflecting the association’s broader vision of creating a more inclusive and professional ecosystem.

All matches in both competitions will be held at the Wankhede Stadium, with the women’s final set for June 13 at 2 PM, ahead of the men’s final later that evening. The competition will feature three teams — SoBo Mumbai Falcons, Thane Sky Risers and Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs — with each side playing the others twice in the league phase before the top two teams qualify for the final.

The tournament is expected to showcase a mix of established and emerging players from Mumbai’s domestic circuit, including Sayali Satghare, Saima Thakor, Humairaa Kaazi, Simran Shaikh, Sanika Chalke and Vrushali Bhagat. Teenage batter Ira Jadhav, who has gained attention for her performances at the junior level, will also be part of the competition.

By staging the women’s league alongside the men’s tournament, the MCA aims to enhance visibility for women’s cricket while providing young players with exposure to a professional environment at a major venue.

MCA president Ajinkya Naik said: “The announcement of the fixtures sets the stage for what promises to be a world-class cricketing spectacle at the Wankhede Stadium. The league will bring together some of the finest players in the game alongside Mumbai’s emerging talent, giving young cricketers a valuable opportunity to compete and share the stage with established stars.

“At the same time, fans can look forward to two weeks of high-quality and exciting cricket as we continue to strengthen Mumbai’s cricketing ecosystem through both the men’s and women’s competitions.”

The T20 Mumbai League, launched in 2018, has grown into one of India’s prominent domestic franchise tournaments, producing players who have progressed to the IPL and national level. The addition of a women’s competition is seen as another step in strengthening the pathway for emerging talent.

League Governing Council chairman Rajdip Gupta highlighted the importance of the initiative: “With 30 matches scheduled across the men’s and women’s competitions, the fixtures set the stage for an exciting and competitive season at the Wankhede Stadium. With a strong mix of experienced players and emerging talent, the league will continue to provide young cricketers with valuable exposure and an important platform for development.

“Fans can expect high-intensity cricket and several exciting contests throughout the tournament.”

All matches in the women’s league will be broadcast live on Star Sports and streamed on JioHotstar, ensuring wide visibility for the players.
