Komati Reddy produced a superb all-round performance as Austria Women defeated Guernsey Women by 85 runs in the third match of the Women’s T20 Continental Cup 2026 at the Moara Vlasiei Cricket Ground in Ilfov County.
Austria recovered from an early wobble to post 104/8 before their bowlers completely dismantled Guernsey, dismissing them for just 19 in the seventh over.
Reddy Leads Austria’s Recovery
After winning the toss, Guernsey captain Krista De La Mare chose to field and her bowlers made an excellent start by reducing Austria to 19/2 in the third over.
Komati Reddy and Sheetal Bhardwaj then steadied the innings with a crucial 56-run partnership for the third wicket. Bhardwaj contributed 12 from 17 balls before being run out in the 10th over.
Reddy remained the key figure with the bat, top-scoring with 30 from 40 deliveries.
Guernsey fought back strongly during the second half of the innings, restricting Austria to only 29 runs while taking five wickets across the final 10 overs. However, 45 extras made a major contribution to Austria’s eventual total of 104/8.
Claire Elmore was the pick of the Guernsey bowlers with 2/12, while Annie Le Ray, Katie Robert and Elise Millington each claimed one wicket.
Austria Bowl Guernsey Out for 19
Chasing 105, Guernsey were immediately put under pressure by an exceptionally disciplined Austrian attack.
The batters struggled to cope with the accuracy of the bowlers and wickets fell rapidly throughout the powerplay. No Guernsey player reached double figures as the innings collapsed to just 19 all out.
Austria conceded only three extras, highlighting the contrast with their own batting innings.
Reddy completed a brilliant all-round display by taking 4/2 from 1.5 overs. Mallika Pathirannehelage added 3/5, while captain Priya Sabu claimed 2/2.
