Zimbabwe Cricket have named a 16-player squad for the upcoming home white-ball series against West Indies, with Josephine Nkomo set to captain the side in three ODIs and three T20Is in Harare.
The six-match series will run from September 24 to October 7 and comes shortly after Zimbabwe suffered a 5-0 T20I series defeat to South Africa earlier this month.
Nkomo will continue to lead a group that retains much of the squad involved against South Africa in Bulawayo from September 11 to 19. Zimbabwe will now turn their attention to a West Indies side captained by Hayley Matthews.
Zimbabwe Retain Experienced Core
Experienced players Nomvelo Sibanda, Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano, Modester Mupachikwa and Sharne Mayers remain part of Zimbabwe’s plans, while Chiedza Dhururu and Olinder Chare have been brought into the squad.
There are also two format-specific selections. Kudzai Chigora has been picked for the ODI leg only, while Francisca Chipare will feature exclusively in the T20I series.
Loreen Tshuma is unavailable through injury, while Lorraine Pemhiwa and Lindokuhle Mabhera have been left out, making way for Dhururu and Chare.

ODI Series Part of Women’s Championship
The three-match ODI series will form part of the ongoing ICC Women’s Championship and will be staged at Harare Sports Club.
The opening ODI is scheduled for September 24, followed by the second match on September 27 and the third on September 30.
T20Is Shift to Takashinga
The teams will then move to Takashinga Cricket Club for the T20I leg.
The first T20I will take place on October 3, with the second scheduled for October 5 and the final match on October 7.
The series represents another important assignment in Zimbabwe’s busy 2026 schedule. Earlier in the year, the team played ICC Women’s Championship matches in New Zealand and Pakistan before hosting South Africa for five T20Is.
After the difficult 0-5 loss to South Africa, Zimbabwe will look to use home conditions and squad continuity to produce a stronger performance against West Indies.
