Turkey Women delivered an impressive all-round performance to defeat Czech Republic Women by eight wickets in the fifth Group A match of the Women’s Continental Cup 2026 at the Moara Vlasiei Cricket Ground.

A disciplined bowling display dismissed Czech Republic for just 64 before Turkey chased down the target in only 5.5 overs, sealing victory with 85 balls to spare.

    Turkey Bowlers Take Complete Control

Czech Republic struggled from the beginning after losing opener Katerina Tesarikova for six to Ezgi Nur Kilic. Hacer Celik then removed Erika Kuncova, while Kubra Canavarci dismissed Rachel Pavlickova to leave the batting side under early pressure at 16/3.

Captain Sowjanya Talamara and Farwa Baber attempted to rebuild the innings, but Baber was run out before Talamara also departed, reducing Czech Republic to 44/5.

Kilic returned to strike twice more, trapping both Viola Komeda and Mansi Parmar lbw as the innings continued to unravel.

Jana Kominkova briefly resisted with eight runs before Celik removed her, while Canavarci claimed the final wicket as Czech Republic were bowled out for 64 in 13.3 overs.

Extras contributed 25 runs, highlighting the visitors’ struggles to score off the bat.

    Kilic Leads the Bowling Attack

Ezgi Nur Kilic was the standout performer, finishing with outstanding figures of 3/5 from three overs.

Captain Kubra Canavarci and Hacer Celik provided excellent support with two wickets each, while Zehra Ender also joined the wickets column.

Turkey’s bowlers consistently applied pressure, preventing Czech Republic from building any meaningful partnerships throughout the innings.

Teykildirım and Ender Finish the Chase

Turkey’s chase started with a minor setback as both Hacer Celik and captain Kubra Canavarci were dismissed with the score on 15, giving Czech Republic brief hope.

That proved to be their final success.

Duygu Teykildirım and Zehra Ender dominated the remainder of the chase, sharing an unbeaten 50-run partnership for the third wicket. Teykildirım anchored the innings with an unbeaten 27 from 19 balls, while Ender produced a rapid 17 not out from only eight deliveries, striking at over 200.

Their aggressive approach ensured Turkey reached 65/2 in just 5.5 overs to complete a comprehensive victory.

    Comfortable Victory for Turkey

Sowjanya Talamara was the only Czech Republic bowler to make an impact, claiming both wickets to finish with 2/13.

However, the rest of the attack struggled to contain Turkey’s batters as the target was chased down with ease.

Powered by Kilic’s brilliant three-wicket haul and the unbeaten partnership between Teykildirım and Ender, Turkey secured an emphatic eight-wicket win to continue their strong campaign in the Women’s Continental Cup 2026.
