Australian presenter Erin Holland has clarified her absence from the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, confirming that medical reasons prevented her participation this season.
A familiar face in the PSL since its fourth edition in 2019, Holland was notably missing from the presenters’ line-up for the 11th season of the tournament, which is scheduled to run until May 3.
Fans seek answers over absence
Her absence drew attention from cricket followers, and many took to social media to ask about her situation and express concern, while also hoping for her return to the league.
Responding to the queries, Holland explained that closely scheduled medical appointments made it difficult for her to commit to a sustained presence at the tournament.
Holland shares update
She shared her disappointment about missing the event but remained optimistic about returning in the future.
“Thank you so much for the many messages wondering where I am this PSL – I am devastated to be unable to take part this year,” Holland wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
“This was due to medical appointments close together that never allowed for a decent stint at the tournament. Missing everyone & I hope to be back soon,” she added.
Replacement presenters confirmed
In her absence, tournament organisers have introduced new faces to the broadcast team. Neroli Meadows and Jess Crowe are set to make their PSL debuts and will join Sikandar Bakht and Zainab Abbas on the panel.
Confirming the development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated: “Renowned sports broadcasters Neroli Meadows and Jess Crowe are set to feature in the HBL PSL for the first time, and they will join Zainab Abbas as the official presenters and hosts during the tournament.”
