Thailand U19 Women produced a dominant all-round display to defeat Hong Kong, China U19 Women by 93 runs in the U-19 Women’s T20 Challenge 2026, controlling the contest through composed batting and disciplined bowling.
Thailand’s innings began with a steady approach as openers Pitchamon Darajareon and Kunnaya Inwin focused on building a platform. Darajareon contributed 20 off 26 balls, rotating the strike effectively, while Inwin added a quick 6 off 5 before falling to Arna Senthilvel at 1/27 in 5.1 overs.
Tharada Seesuwan then joined Darajareon, and the pair added valuable runs to take the total past 50. However, Darajareon was dismissed for 20 at 2/59 in 7.3 overs, caught off Akeisha Sahni.
Sriramchornrathi Anchors Strong Finish
Seesuwan found support in Koranti Sriramchornrathi as the duo built a crucial partnership. Seesuwan played a steady knock of 30 off 35 balls before being dismissed at 3/105 in 13.2 overs by Emily Dickinson.
From there, Sriramchornrathi took charge of the innings, accelerating effectively to remain unbeaten on 54 off 34 balls, including six boundaries. She was supported by Chanoknan Phanao (10 off 7) and Chaidapha Photharam, who finished not out on 13 off 10 balls.
Despite a couple of late wickets, including Kesinee Keawjumjpol (4) and Pattamawadee Suriya (1), Thailand maintained momentum. With the help of 26 extras, they posted a competitive 164/6 in 20 overs.
Hong Kong’s bowling effort saw contributions from several players. Poon Hoi Lam was economical with 1 for 4 in one over, while Leung Man Kei (1-23) and Kashvi Thakkar (1-19) picked up wickets. Arna Senthilvel and Akeisha Sahni also claimed one wicket each, though runs were conceded at key moments.
Thailand Bowlers Dominate the Chase
Chasing 165, Hong Kong struggled to gain momentum from the outset. Poon Hoi Lam attempted to anchor the innings with 19 off 31 balls, while So Wan Tung added 15 off 27, but the scoring rate remained under pressure.
Thailand’s bowlers executed their plans with precision. Kesinee Keawjumjpol set the tone with figures of 4-0-8-1, while Pattamawadee Suriya maintained control with 4-0-19-0. Phomphimon Khongdee (4-0-11-2) and Patcharaporn Sorntha (4-1-9-3) played key roles in dismantling the middle order.
Hong Kong slipped to 3/49 by 11.5 overs, and the innings never recovered. Emily Dickinson (6), Kashvi Thakkar (2), Janice Wong (8), and Storm Parker (4) all fell cheaply as wickets continued to fall.
Lower-order batters were unable to offer resistance, with Nimbra Arab (1) and Arna Senthilvel (0) dismissed, while Leung Man Kei (3*) and Akeisha Sahni (0*) remained unbeaten. Hong Kong finished on 71/9 in 20 overs.
