Cricket Australia has announced a packed 2026-27 international schedule featuring 27 matches across 14 venues over an eight-month period. The Australian women’s side will take centre stage in October, following the highly anticipated 10th edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales, scheduled from 12th June to 5th July 2026.
The home summer will also include the team’s traditional February-March window, highlighted by historic day-night fixtures at upgraded venues in Melbourne and Adelaide.
Led by Sophie Molineux, Australia Women will begin their campaign under lights with a landmark return to Melbourne after Junction Oval missed the 2025-26 season due to lighting improvements. The Trans-Tasman ODI leg of the Rose Bowl will also be played as day-night encounters at Adelaide’s redeveloped Karen Rolton Oval, providing a high-profile series against New Zealand.
In another milestone, Australia will host Bangladesh for their first bilateral series on home soil. The tour will feature three day-night ODIs in Brisbane, followed by three T20Is played under lights at North Sydney Oval.
Notably, Molineux’s squad will not travel to Western Australia during this season. Cricket Australia had proposed a women’s Test match as part of the Trans-Tasman contests, but New Zealand opted against it, ensuring the focus remains on white-ball formats.

Cricket Australia chief executive Todd Greenberg expressed enthusiasm about the calendar announcement, stating: “We’re delighted to release an international schedule that ensures fans across Australia will see our brilliant national teams play over eight months at many fantastic venues across the country.” He also reflected on the historic Trans-Tasman rivalry, adding: “Our rivalry with the Kiwis has always been hard fought and produced many memorable moments, and the men’s Test series and women’s white ball series will be no exception.”
Broadcast coverage will be available throughout the season, with all international fixtures shown on Foxtel, Seven, Kayo, and 7Plus. The upcoming summer is set to deliver compelling contests while continuing to highlight the evolving profile of women’s cricket.
