Sunrisers Leeds Women produced a composed run chase to defeat London Spirit Women by five wickets in Match 20 of The Hundred Women’s 2026 at Headingley, Leeds. Chasing a target of 137, the hosts reached 142/5 in 98 balls to seal victory with two balls remaining.

The Sunrisers Leeds Women result was built on an excellent all-round performance. After restricting London Spirit Women to 136/7, the home side chased confidently thanks to valuable contributions from Phoebe Litchfield, Annabel Sutherland, and Jess Jonassen. The Sunrisers Leeds Women vs London Spirit Women highlights included Grace Harris’ explosive half-century, a rain interruption, and a calm finish from the Australian stars.

Grace Harris Gives London Spirit a Flying Start

Batting first, London Spirit Women looked set for a much bigger total after a dominant opening half of the innings. Grace Harris played one of her best knocks of the tournament, reaching a half century in just 25 balls. She eventually scored 51 from 27 deliveries, smashing seven fours and two sixes to put pressure on the Sunrisers bowlers.

Amy Jones supported her well with 24 from 20 balls, while the pair helped London Spirit reach 89/1 after 50 balls. At that stage, the visitors appeared on course for a score well above 150.

However, a rain delay completely changed the momentum of the innings.

    Rain Delay Changes the Match

The break came at the worst possible time for London Spirit Women. Soon after play resumed, Grace Harris was dismissed, and the innings quickly lost momentum.

Sunrisers Leeds Women took full advantage as the bowlers tightened their lines and regularly picked up wickets. London Spirit lost six wickets for just 47 runs in the final 50 balls, preventing them from posting a match winning total.

Deandra Dottin remained unbeaten on 15, while Marizanne Kapp contributed 18, but neither batter could rebuild the innings after the collapse.

    Sunrisers Bowlers Shine

The London Spirit Women scorecard showed how effective the Sunrisers bowling attack was during the second half of the innings.

Hannah Baker delivered an excellent spell, finishing with 2 wickets for 21 runs. Deepti Sharma was equally impressive, claiming 2 for 18 while keeping the scoring under control. Danielle Gibson picked up one wicket, while Annabel Sutherland also made an important breakthrough.

Their disciplined bowling ensured London Spirit finished with only 136/7, giving the home side a realistic target.

    Australian Stars Guide the Chase

Sunrisers Leeds Women made a positive start to the chase with Phoebe Litchfield promoted to open the batting. The left hander attacked from the beginning and scored 30 from just 17 balls, giving her team valuable momentum.

Annabel Sutherland then played the match-winning innings with an unbeaten 37 from 21 balls. She remained calm under pressure and finished the match in style with a boundary. Jess Jonassen also made a valuable unbeaten 13 from only five balls, helping complete the chase with two deliveries remaining.

The Sunrisers Leeds Women vs London Spirit Women highlights also showcased the strength of the Australian trio, whose batting made the difference in a close contest.

The Sunrisers Leeds Women result strengthened their campaign in The Hundred Women’s 2026, while the London Spirit Women scorecard reflected how the rain break and middle order collapse cost the visitors a chance of defending a bigger total.
