Welsh Fire Women secured a 15-run victory over London Spirit Women in the 31st match of The Hundred Women’s 2026 at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Wednesday, August 12. After being asked to bat first, Welsh Fire posted 138/7 from their 100 balls. London Spirit struggled during their chase and were bowled out for 123 in 99 balls.
Grace Potts was named Player of the Match after playing a key role with the ball. Her early breakthroughs helped Welsh Fire take control of the contest before the rest of their bowling attack maintained the pressure throughout the innings.
Georgia Wareham Leads Welsh Fire Batting
Welsh Fire Women were put into bat first and needed a strong batting performance to establish a competitive total. Georgia Wareham provided the foundation with an excellent 50 from 34 balls.

Charlie Dean also made an impact by taking two wickets from her 20 balls. Their performances ensured that Welsh Fire could not finish with an even bigger total.
However, 139 proved to be a challenging target for London Spirit, particularly against a disciplined Welsh Fire bowling attack.
London Spirit Struggle in the Chase
London Spirit Women needed a strong start but struggled to build consistent partnerships. Grace Potts made early breakthroughs for Welsh Fire and immediately put pressure on the batting lineup.
