Southern Brave Women continued their excellent run in The Hundred Women 2026 with a convincing 24-run victory over Birmingham Phoenix Women at The Rose Bowl, Southampton. The win kept Southern Brave unbeaten after four matches, while Birmingham Phoenix remained without a victory in the tournament.

After being asked to bat first, Southern Brave posted a competitive 140/3 from their 100 balls before restricting Birmingham Phoenix to 116/5, thanks to disciplined bowling in the second half of the chase.

Southern Brave Women vs Birmingham Phoenix Women Highlights

Southern Brave Women vs Birmingham Phoenix Women highlights begin with an explosive opening partnership between Maia Bouchier and Lizelle Lee.

The pair added 68 runs in just 47 balls, giving Southern Brave the perfect platform. Bouchier played an aggressive knock of 45 from 31 balls, striking eight boundaries, while Lee smashed 43 off 28 deliveries, including seven fours and two sixes.

After the opening stand was broken, Laura Wolvaardt scored 11 before being dismissed. Indian batter Jemimah Rodrigues then ensured the innings finished strongly with an unbeaten 28 off 18 balls, supported by captain Sophie Molineux, who remained not out on eight.

Southern Brave finished with 140/3, a total that proved more than enough on the day.

For Birmingham Phoenix, Lauren Filer, Alice Capsey, and Alana King claimed one wicket each while keeping the scoring under control during the closing stages.

    Birmingham Phoenix Women Scorecard

The Birmingham Phoenix Women scorecard showed a promising start but an inability to maintain the required scoring rate.

Openers Davina Perrin and Tammy Beaumont gave Phoenix hope with a 73-run opening partnership. Perrin continued her impressive form with a well-made 50 from 42 balls, while Beaumont contributed 22 off 23 deliveries.

However, once the opening stand was broken, Southern Brave’s bowlers quickly took control of the match.

Alice Capsey managed only eight, while Annerie Dercksen added five before falling to Sophie Molineux. Wicketkeeper Jemima Spence was dismissed for a first-ball duck, putting Phoenix under further pressure.

Veteran all-rounder Ellyse Perry remained unbeaten on 16 from 11 balls, but with the required run rate climbing rapidly, she had little opportunity to launch a late comeback. Fatima Sana added an unbeaten five, but Birmingham Phoenix finished on 116/5, falling 24 runs short.

Southern Brave Bowlers Seal Another Victory

The Southern Brave Women result was built on an outstanding bowling effort after the strong batting display.

Captain Sophie Molineux led from the front with figures of 2 for 24, dismissing both Annerie Dercksen and Jemima Spence at crucial moments.

Lauren Bell bowled an economical spell, finishing with 1 for 16, while Tilly Corteen-Coleman claimed the important wicket of Davina Perrin. Sarah Glenn also made a valuable contribution by dismissing Tammy Beaumont and helping slow the scoring rate during the middle phase of the innings.

Southern Brave’s disciplined bowling prevented Birmingham Phoenix from building momentum after the halfway stage of the chase.

    Southern Brave Stay Unbeaten

The latest Southern Brave Women result strengthened their position at the top of The Hundred Women 2026 standings. With four wins from four matches, Southern Brave have established themselves as one of the strongest teams in the competition.

Meanwhile, the Birmingham Phoenix Women scorecard reflected another frustrating outing as they remained rooted to the bottom of the table without a win in three completed matches. With the tournament entering a crucial phase, Phoenix will need to bounce back quickly, while Southern Brave will look to extend their unbeaten run in the coming fixtures.
