Rayalaseema Xen Stars Women were crowned Women’s Andhra Premier League (WAPL) 2026 champions after defeating Godavari Golden Eagles Women by six wickets in the final at the ACA International Stadium in Mangalagiri.

Godavari posted 96/9 from their 20 overs before Rayalaseema completed the chase at 98/4 in 17.1 overs, winning with 17 balls to spare.

Rayalaseema Bowlers Restrict Godavari to 96

Godavari struggled to build momentum after losing wickets at regular intervals. Captain Henrietta Flavia Pereira led the resistance with 45 from 44 balls, while M. Mahalakshmi Manoja contributed 20 from 29 deliveries.

However, Rayalaseema’s bowlers kept the pressure on throughout the innings.

Avula Sireesha produced the standout spell, taking 4/19, while captain Ellutla Padmaja returned figures of 2/18. Vasavi Pavani also picked up a wicket, and Dhathri Kokilligadda finished with 1/3.

Godavari eventually closed on 96/9, leaving Rayalaseema with a manageable target of 97.

    Setu Sai Guides Rayalaseema’s Chase

Rayalaseema lost a few wickets during the chase, but Vemulapati Setu Sai held the innings together with an unbeaten 39 from 40 balls. Kolathur Subhasri provided important support at the top of the order, scoring 30 from 35 deliveries.

Greeshma Saini Reddy made 1, Harshita Gowda contributed 10 and captain Ellutla Padmaja scored 2, while Vasavi Pavani remained unbeaten on 11 alongside Setu Sai.

Rayalaseema reached 98/4 in 17.1 overs to complete a comfortable six-wicket victory and secure the WAPL 2026 title.

    Sireesha Stars With the Ball

Avula Sireesha played a decisive role in Rayalaseema’s victory with her four-wicket haul.

Her figures of 4/19 prevented Godavari from building any substantial partnerships and helped keep the first-innings total below 100.

Padmaja also made an important contribution with 2/18, giving Rayalaseema control of the contest before their batters finished the job.

    Rayalaseema Complete Strong WAPL Campaign

Rayalaseema and Godavari had finished the league stage with identical records of three wins, one defeat and two no-results from six matches.

Rayalaseema topped the standings because of their superior net run rate and had already defeated Godavari by seven wickets earlier in the tournament.

They repeated that success in the final with another disciplined bowling performance followed by a composed chase.

The six-wicket victory completed an impressive campaign for Rayalaseema Xen Stars Women and earned them the Women’s Andhra Premier League 2026 title.
