India batter Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of the remainder of The Hundred 2026 after suffering a hamstring injury while playing for Southern Brave. The setback has ended her campaign in England and has also raised concerns over her availability for the upcoming Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026.

Rodrigues had been one of Southern Brave’s most important batters this season. Her injury therefore comes at a difficult stage for both the franchise and the Indian team, with the Asia Cup scheduled to begin later this month.

Jemimah Rodrigues Hamstring Injury Ends Hundred Campaign

Rodrigues picked up the injury during her stint with Southern Brave and has now been ruled out for the remainder of the competition.

The Australian all-rounder Charli Knott has been signed by Southern Brave as her replacement for the rest of the campaign. The move allows the franchise to maintain its squad strength after losing one of its key overseas batters.

Rodrigues had enjoyed an impressive run before the injury. She scored 143 runs across six innings at an average of 35.75 and a strike rate of 131.19.

She also produced back-to-back Player of the Match performances. Rodrigues scored an unbeaten 42 against Sunrisers Women before following it up with a crucial 32 against MI London Women.

Her consistency made her injury particularly disappointing for Southern Brave.

Jemimah Rodrigues Injury Update Ahead of Asia Cup

The latest Jemimah Rodrigues injury update has also created uncertainty around India’s plans for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup.

The tournament is scheduled to begin in the UAE on August 28, with India starting their campaign against Thailand on August 30. That leaves Rodrigues with less than three weeks to recover, complete rehabilitation and regain full match fitness.

A hamstring injury can require careful management, particularly for a batter who needs to run regularly between the wickets and field at a high intensity. India will therefore be unlikely to take unnecessary risks with her fitness.

The Indian team management will closely monitor her recovery before making a final decision about her participation.

    India Women Face Selection Concern

Rodrigues’ possible absence would be a significant setback for India Women. She has established herself as one of the team’s most reliable middle order batters and has scored more than 2,800 runs in T20I cricket.

Her ability to rotate the strike, build partnerships and accelerate when required makes her an important part of India’s T20 setup.

This India Women injury update involving Rodrigues comes at an important time. With the Asia Cup approaching, the selectors may need to consider alternative middle order options if she is unable to recover in time.

India will also have to balance Rodrigues’ long term fitness with the immediate demands of the tournament. Rushing her back before she is fully ready could increase the risk of further problems.

    Asia Cup Future Remains Uncertain

Though Jemimah Rodrigues hamstring injury has ended her Hundred campaign, her biggest concern now will be the Asia Cup.

India begin their campaign against Thailand on August 30, giving Rodrigues a limited recovery window. Her recent form makes her absence potentially significant, but the team will prioritise her fitness before deciding whether she can participate.

For now, Rodrigues’ Asia Cup future remains uncertain. Her rehabilitation over the coming weeks will determine whether she can return in time to represent India in the UAE.
